Any players left on the hate train for .net. Seems like Woolen was 1/2 & 1/2 on these forums. Now that he is gone I guess we still have Bradford as a whipping boy but he did improve last season. I feel with the new recruits and any drafted players will conform to the current team identity. Feels weird honestly. Good but weird.

Anthony Bradford, for as much "improvement" as he has had (yes, I put the word 'improvement' in quotations. Come at me, bro), he will still be viewed as the weak link of that OL.

He just does not seem to have good enough lateral movement to pass-block the way we want him to.

There are just too many times he's had these Keystone Cops moments that make you want to pull your hair out.

Whiffs a lot when passing plays are involved where the RB usually Charbs has to pick it up. Looks worse when it was K9 having to pick up the whiffed block and then would whiff himself.

AB has way too many flat whiffs that lead to negative plays or get your QB and RB killed. He needs to be gone. Getting beat is ok, getting beat when not laying a finger on anybody can't happen as often as it does. He's a drive killer

Why do you think that there has to be a "whipping boy"? Can't people think Woolen's a problem, simply because he IS (WAS) a problem?

Sure, last year there was Metcalfe. Also a legit problem. But before that I can't think of any players I thought absolutely needed to be gone, regardless of their talent.

Many in here have tried to paint this off-season as hugely transitional leaving gaping holes.

All we've really lost is Bryant, Woolen & K9 and Riq was complained about constantly, KWlll not proven to carry the load (injuries) and was unhappy. Not to mention the behind the line dancing, then being paid as the 4th highest RB?
No thanks to all three.

John has already brought in 3 safeties, a CB and a FA RB and he's just getting started with ample cap room at hand. JS has retained a nice core group of our own FA's.

Try to enjoy our Championship season and maybe try to find a RB, CB, edge rusher that we can draft late April.
The sky is not falling, that's the sun shining brightly down on our shoulders.

Does it have to be a player. Right now JS is the clear leader in some circles for the early whipping boy. Again not a player but if the offense struggles at all, I think Fleury will be a target

I don't know why Hendrickson wasn't resigned by the Bengals if they were talking a difference of 9 million dollars between him and Mafe. Baffling.

I don't see any major scrubs on the roster. Cept the one scrub. The plan for continuity with the oline paid off bigtime. Stable line most of the season We had also added a talent at qb had to help a bit.

There is always thee newbies.....

He was Nwosu's backup and he had 2 sacks in 25/26'. We have Hall to take his place even before the draft.
Mafe got a 3 year, 60M deal from Cinci with a bunch guaranteed.
So WHY??? Did you post Mafe's name with a question mark...?
Made iirc was like 4th on the depth chart too

Bruddha…Bengals management is horrible. They paid Higgins knowing they had to pay Chase. You’re seeing the effect of loading up stars on one side of the ball at the detriment of the other.

No way they should’ve made the decision to keep Higgins over Hendrickson but, that’s effectively what they’ve done (to include decimating their db corps).

I like the Bengals but they run a pretty bad organization in terms of building a contender even with Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. They could be a great franchise but in many ways they are the exact mirror image of the Cowboys in the AFC.

The Cowboys actually draft phenomenally well, especially on the OL. They're constantly finding these steals and adding cheap talent, it just never translates to playoff runs for some reason. Jerry is an awful GM for sure, but he is shockingly good with the draft.

The Bengals got two mega stars with top five picks, and screwed up basically everything else.

It's not all Jerry. He wanted to draft Johnny Manziel and got talked out of it. He knows how to make money - that's about it.
