Washington has already shown they belong in the Big. They beat the shit out of NW and Michigan, despite being a bad team in a total rebuilding year with no real QB.

Coaching is trash. That was painful to watch. The Michigan win didn't mean much that team is on a clean slate after winning the natty last year.

This was me preparing a response:

"I doubt it'll be THAT bad, you still get to play..."

...pulls up UW schedule online.

"Oh, shit."

Yeeeaaahhh, um, maybe they beat UCLA?

Haha :(

The fvck, bro? Whose side are you on?

The Michigan win was the best win in college football, like pretty much ever.

It was cool because it was Michigan but Michigan sucks this year. How do you get blown out by Iowa the team isn't anywhere close to competing in the Big 10 yet. Rutgers now Iowa. Cmon man.

Yep. Everyone outside of Michigan and Washington knew the wheels have come off Michigan this year. That was BEFORE the UW game.

It is a nice win, at home. But it does nothing to convince me that our HC is anything but a middle-tier (if that) coach.
Hopefully he can recruit, because we effing lost to WSU and RUTGERS. (Let it sink in that we are now a worse team than Rutgers. Rutgers sucks. It used to be one of the garbage teams we played at home and blew out, back in the Rick N era. Hell, other UW coaches feasted on them too.) There is literally NO excuse for losing to Rutgers.
Beating a hapless one-legged barely there Michigan team, at home, does not make up for those losses.

Losing to Iowa, Rutgers, and WSU pretty much says you suck at your job, if you are a coach of the team doing the losing.
But maybe he can recruit his way out of it? (doubtful).
Now I know why so many guys left UW as soon as he was announced. Hell, one of our guys left for Oregon! Jeb or Jed or whatever his name is....probably scared them away.

BTW looking at the rest of our schedule, there is only 1 game left that looks winnable (UCLA).

We almost certainly lose to Penn State and USC. Oregon probably boatraces us.

Well, we didn't lose to USC. Ironically, the defense looks like a defense from the old Big 10 and not the old Pac 12. Pretty sure we can squeak by with one more win to get bowl eligible, but it won't be easy.

We likely aren't winning another game. But I've stopped expecting anything from this team.
Feel sorry for Bruener, he deserves better, but as long as Jub is coach I'm not that invested.
We will see if he can turn it around in 3 years. I doubt it though.

I am optimistic. I think we beat UCLA and become bowl eligible, which would be a huge step.

All I know is that if we lose to UCLA while playing AT HOME, against a team fielding a 4th string Left Tackle, Fisch will officially cement himself as the White Willingham.
Losing this game should be grounds for being fired the same night. We still have a slim lead - but at this point I don't like what I am seeing from this team and these coaches at all.

Fisch is cementing himself as a bottom-half coach in the Big 10. The talent argument is not an excuse. This is crap coaching.
The funny thing is that people were worried Florida might hire him away. The truth is Florida would never hire him because he isn't good enough and never will be. The Gators would never stoop this low. Not sure why we did.

Tough loss for the Huskies. I only saw the second half, was busy, but even though the weather was horrible, Demond did not make good decisions. It's hard to see the whole field on TV, but he kept taking off running when there was nothing there rather than at least trying to complete a pass.

Anyway...

To be fair, Williams makes poor decisions frequently. I don't think he processes the game well. A little slow in his reads, overly reliant on his legs because his head doesn't help much. But losing to a Wisconsin that fields a rookie QB who cannot pass, is a special kind of failure. The kind that gets pinned on the HC not the QB.
Only an idiot decides to take his star receiver and best offensive weapon, to put on punt returns....when that same star receiver isn't even much of a return threat when he DOES return the ball.
But Jeb did it, among many other poor coaching decisions.

lmao WISCONSIN??? They're the worst team in the conference!
Well we have the worst coach in the conference. So maybe it cancels out?

Jeb was soundly outcoached today by a coach that was supposed to be fired, and likely will be soon.

Wisconsin has a good defense, but amongst the very worst offenses in all division one football. Bad weather and a low scoring game played right into their hands.

That was the most pathetic display of "offense" I've seen in a long time. Just completely incompetent and dysfunctional. Demond Williams was gawd awful.

That game answers the question, what would it look if they tried to play football in the Special Olympics?

Not sure even the Special Olympics coaches would try to kick a 50 yd FG in a driving rainstorm in heavy wet weather. Only a special kind of idiot would do that, maybe the kind of idiot that uses his best player for punt returns?
