Richardson interviewed with most teams in the league, but he only praised Pete Carroll, and no close talker stuff.
If he's there at 5, at least 1 of Andersen and Carter are gone.Let's say that Richardson is available at #5, here's the risk and reward. Reward, a good to great QB that keeps 12s entertained for years if not decade, after 10 years we can still trade him like Wilson for multiple picks Risk, if he fails, we would have passed on Will Anderson or Carter, it sucks but when was the last time a DT or a DE totally take over a season or a game? OK, Clowney did, for one game vs SF.
We will still be not taking one of the "generational talent" in Carter or Anderson. If he's there at 5, at least 1 of Andersen and Carter are gone.
There's a clear cut top 6 in this draft IMO. 4 QBs and Andersen, Carter.
But he's on the money deep, and he's on the money when on the run. Those are the ones that are hard to teach. You guys watched him throw right? Like I get he's a physical freak, but dude has the accuracy of a teenage boy on pissing.
I like Stroud a lot as well, he throws a pretty ball that looks almost telepathically controlled once it's in the air.Deep balls are like 2 a game. His intermediate and short accuracy are usually high and off target. Watching a guy like Stroud absolutely nail those short passes sets the bar high. So what if he can't throw the extra few yards? I get the attraction to Richardson, we have a physical freak like him in DK and hes great. But rare physical specimens doesn't mean anything as a QB. I'd rather have a guy who absolutely dots the 90% of passes they throw.
To counter your opinion, Richardson did played 3 years of college ball appeared in 24 games, could he be coach up on key areas still? We shall see, but I am still of the opinion to draft himI like Stroud a lot as well, he throws a pretty ball that looks almost telepathically controlled once it's in the air.
With Richardson, I think his short and intermediate accuracy issues can be mitigated through technical refinement. I also think he's gonna add a hell of a lot of value on the ground, which reduces the need for as robust of a short game.
Neither one of those players is a generational talent. We will still be not taking one of the "generational talent" in Carter or Anderson.
He also said something to the affect that he gets along with everyone in the lockeroom. I felt like that was a comment directed to the Seahawks, him basically saying I'm not bigger than the team (like Russell Wilson was).He singled out Pete to praise, either Pete and him really connected which is possible. Or, he realized the opportunity to sit and learn behind Geno, the hawks supporting cast of 1 sensational RB, 2 great WRs, 3 good TEs, and 4 young linemen that will only get better. In the end, it's as easy as 1234 for him to single out the Hawks as his ideal destination.
He can do worse, a lot worse, to a team without as good a group of supporting cast, yet needed him to start in day 1.
I think he could. It's all technical stuff. He'll probably never be perfect in that regard, but he'll never have to be as long as he has his level of athleticism (in the best case outcome). To counter your opinion, Richardson did played 3 years of college ball appeared in 24 games, could he be coach up on key areas still? We shall see, but I am still of the opinion to draft him![]()
It's been a long time since I was a teenage boy, so I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not...??You guys watched him throw right? Like I get he's a physical freak, but dude has the accuracy of a teenage boy pissing.
