Skip's going to hate us for a long time, even though he doesn't actually hate us at all.
Bailess hated the Seahawks before he loved them before he hated them again. His opinions aren't based on rationalizations, he is nothing but a pure contrarian who likes to get attention by going against the grain, which typically means holding a really dumb opinion most of the time. If anything is hyped, he rarely misses a chance to resist it. So long as the Seahawks are hyped, Bailess will be saying "not so fast." The hype for this team won't be going away any time soon, so get used to Bailess doubting our team.
It's really just that simple. You'll notice there is no substance to his rebuttals, he's just playing lawyer to justify his positions.
You sir hit the nail on the head. As stated in my OP, I could care less what he thinks. I think the quote in your SIG sums it up rather well.
I disagree, Kearly. You say there is no substance to my rebuttals, but Kaepernick is like 6’4”? There's nothing simple about my resistance to Seattle as a football team. I just really expect Russell to have a sophomore slump because Drew Brees is closer to 6'1" when you stand next to him.
Look, I may change my mind on this, but I am starting to come around on the 'Hawks after their game against the Broncos. Their defense really scores a lot of points, just like they did last year, but I thought Peyton would have protected the ball better, and Demaryius Thomas, goal line fumble, then Brandon Browner woosh. I will say though that I don’t know if the defense can keep it up this year because they’re not going to surprise anyone and their receivers are just average.
Seattle has to watch out for the Cardinals. No one is talking about them and Tyrann Mathieu. They’ll surprise people. Did you see what Bruce Arians did when he was with the Steelers a few years ago?
Don’t get me wrong, and I hate to say this, but I believe Seattle will still get the Wild Card . – @RealSkipBayless out
