Think about it

I have one and hate everyone else .

Bears fans are in grief over how poorly the offensive line is playing. Shelton and Davis are horrible, allowing rush right up the middle. Williams was under pressure almost every pass. They all have no clue how to block against blitz and stunts.Yes, it's strange @Bear-Hawk is missing .. Come on out .
Here is a major difference, Williams is a rookie. The issue with what Waldron is doing is forcing some incredibly complicated reads on a guy that is new to the NFL. He's putting a lot of pressure on both his QB and the offensive line with empty sets. Sometimes the designated read is inexplicable. Williams may never amount to anything in the NFL, but that isn't the point. The point is, they're playing into Williams weaknesses as a passer. You're never going to be successful as a signal caller is that is how things are being run. It's amazing to me just how bad and dense Shane Waldron is. I knew he was misusing talent here, but I didn't know it was to the degree that it was.You like Williams?
If so this where we differ.
I'm not impressed at all with him, to me he's like a younger Me3 but not as fast.
It’s 100% Shane Waldrons who is contributing though. I’ll go as far as to say ereflus (sry spelling but you know) is also to blame. Fields goes to the Steelers and tears it up so far. Coaching issue. You guys have a defensive minded coach imo that’s like PC set in his ways and an OC who is just meh and doesn’t adjust or play to your QBs strengths and off what defenses give. Thats been the same pairings Seattle had for years until this yr. Where Seattle actually makes adjustments, Genos taking what’s being given to him, Grubb adjusts, Coach Mike let’s Grubb do his thing. This is not Shane Waldron’s fault. It doesn’t matter what play you call, if your OL can’t block anybody. Poles has had 3 years to build an OL, and has brought in nothing but Darnell Wright, and he’s about like Cross — not yet playing up to the level you’d want from a guy taken #9 in first round. Other Bears fans think he’s great. I don’t. Poles paid Davis $30 million, and he’s been a disaster. The center position is even worse. Jenkins seems to be regressing. Braxton Jones isn’t bad, but is still vulnerable to good bull rushers. As a unit, they can’t pick up blitzes or coordinate to switch off to handle stunts. I put blame there on the OL line coach (Morgan). These are veteran players who should be capable of managing fundamental stuff like that.
We missed Keenan Allen yesterday. He can run those short routes like JSN to give Williams a target. Williams had a couple interceptions just trying to make something out of nothing.
I will blame Waldron if he doesn’t start keeping a fullback in the backfield to help with pass protection AND a lot more two TE’s on the field to help some, but Kmet totally whiffed on blocking Anderson on one of the 7 sacks. That’s saying a lot, because Williams is very mobile and his TTT is around 2.5 (much quicker processing and release than Fields). I have watched all pass plays from the Texans game in slow motion. It is hideous. This is the worst Bears OL in memory. It’s 100% Shane Waldrons who is contributing though. I’ll go as far as to say ereflus (sry spelling but you know) is also to blame. Now I’ll be honest I don’t know how much of it is Mike, Grubb or the forgotten one Frazier but it’s working. The Bears imo have a hard choice to make at the end of the yr if they still can’t produce enough wins. imo it would be best for them to Shit can Coach, Caleb Williams as much as I hate the force hype, shouldn’t be this bad whatsoever. He’s just got bad coaching staff leading him wrong.
Cross is the top ranked LT in the league right now. This is not Shane Waldron’s fault. It doesn’t matter what play you call, if your OL can’t block anybody. There wasn’t a contract issue. The issue is that he has pressure in his face 2 seconds after the ball is snapped. Only meatball Bears fans put the problem on Williams.Williams showing the inaccuracy that was noticed in college. He definitely has missed guys by wide margins. His issue was the hype and contract issues he tried to force...he isn't living up to any of it.
Maybe Wright will get it together in year #3 like Cross, but Cross has only 2 games on the resume in 2024. I will be sold if he’s still there after 17 games. He was less than spectacular in 2022 and 2023.Cross is the top ranked LT in the league right now.
Shane Waldron is garbage. Funny you mention JSN. Waldron had him, and did absolutely nothing with him. Grubb comes here and JSN is absolutely balling out so far.

While I will say he has been pressured he missed several guys that looked open. Moore was visibly frustrated at times. As long as Eberflus and Waldo are there it's possible he ends up withe Bears qb curse....There wasn’t a contract issue. He is a rookie in his second game. Stuff like that will be worked out over time. It doesn’t all happen instantly. While I will say he has been pressured he missed several guys that looked open. He was doomed as soon as Waldron signed onPoor Caleb Williams![]()

He didn't coach for McVay. He was McVay's personal fluffer. But Waldron is a McVay coaching tree disciple! He pisses excellence, just like Ricky Bobby!
How can you doubt that Waldron's McVay-mentored brilliance will have the Bears hoisting a Lombardi within 2 or 3 years?
Bears just need to trade for Stafford, and the Lombardi is a done deal!

Waldron doesn't use RBs for anything other than running the football. They don't pass, they don't block they don't run routes, they don't motion to draw away a defender, they don't act as a decoy. Either they hide the up-field side of an OL at the LOS so the QB can throw an incomplete pass at his own feet, or they run a -7 yard flare pattern to the sideline so the QB can throw the ball away without getting called for grounding. Passing plays are effectively a 10-man offense.I will blame Waldron if he doesn’t start keeping a fullback in the backfield to help with pass protection AND a lot more two TE’s on the field to help some, but Kmet totally whiffed on blocking Anderson on one of the 7 sacks. The one thing we all agree about on the Bears forum is that Poles must go all-in next year in free agency and the draft for OL. He should have done it already. I’m not saying Odunze won’t eventually be a good receiver, but……
