Just on this site alone, I can see the ugly truth to what some of fan bases have said negatively about us. You Debbie Downers are surely something else, and its disgusting.

We have a 5-1 team, the Seahawks could be a 3-3 team, or even a 6-0, but they are not, they are in fact 5-1, on top of the NFC standings with the New Orleans Saints.

Maybe we should learn to temper our expectations a little bit on how you view league wide domination.

Quit acting like Russell Wilson is a 10 year Vet. He's an undersized, 2nd year player, with one of the worst O-lines in the NFL right now, but he's 17-7 in 24 Games as a Seahawk. And one hell of a football player.

Quit acting like this team is going to be impervious to mental error and mistakes. Like Wilson, much of this team is young. The 4th youngest in the NFL. And because of either executive/coaching decisions and a plethora of unfortunate injuries, the team has been forced to play and rely on this younger, inexperienced talent more than they would like in this early going.

Quit acting like this team needs to dominate every single down, it’s just not going to happen, so get over it. Were injured, young, and there are still 10 more games to play, 10 more games to get better, 10 more games to get these problems fixed. Just because certain aspects on this team is less than the desired or expected result, doesn’t mean the sky is falling, it just means the Seahawks are facing a lot of adversity, and will become better for it, down the road.

Quit being overly critical and emotionally dramatic. I get it, you’re a fan, you’ve spent hundreds and thousands of your money on this product. You’ve created countless web identities, and spent a good portion of your life, absorbing everything you can about the game of football. You have an opinion. You have every right to say whatever the hell you want.
But in my opinion, does it give us the right to be so ungrateful and disrespectful towards every player that makes a mistake or error.

If you want to be hopeless, go ahead, but the perfect team doesn’t not always win the Super Bowl. It’s usually the team with the most to overcome, the team who grinded out wins through countless trials of adversity.
And the Seahawks are 5-1. Get over it.

Seahawks beat:
0-0 Panthers team @ Carolina
1-0 49ers team
0-3 Jaguars team
2-1 Texans team @ Houston
3-2 Titans team

Seahawks lost to:
4-1 Colts @ Indianapolis by 6 points

Other than JAX each team the Seahawks played had a winning record or the advantage (0-0 @ CAR) when we played them. Panthers were potentially a 1-0 team. 49ers were potentially a 2-0 team. The Texans were essentially a 3-1 team. The Titans were potentially a 4-2. And most of those teams above have quality defenses.

Whatever you think you know about this team, just quit hating, and lets see what the final product is at the end of the season when its going to matter the most.

Why so serious? Why so negative? Why so hopeless? Why so pessimistic? Who so hateful?

Seahawks are 5-1, I have tremendous gratitude for this team, even if they aren’t playing as well as they should and continue to make plenty of mistakes. Whether if its just youth, aggressive nature, or stupidity.

But in the end we are being competitively spoiled here in Seattle compared to a majority of teams in the NFL, and a lot of you have the nerve to act like ungrateful jerks and think you can do a better job than these players or coaches.

Get over it. Seahawks are 5-1.

I can't say I disagree w/ anything you said but if people prefer to cry in their beers over tough wins let em. I think people's lofty expectations of an unstoppable force blowing out everybody in their way all season has created this unhappiness w/ victories. Sure, I would prefer to be firing on all cylinders from the get go but that is really more of a rarity in this league.

I agree with you.
But...
Know this also, my young padawan:

People are people: emotional, inconsistent, illogical, & opinionated.
Mistakes are made every minute of everyday.
Both on the field and off. Players AND fans.
Forgiveness reigns.
In other words: They're people... so let them be people...

Personally, I'm ECSTATIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We won. 6-1 here we come! :th2thumbs:
And that is all I have to say about that.

I'm Asian and I grew up in a culture where you point out your weaknesses vs your strengths because humility is praised over vanity. I also believe in karma. It is what it is.

On a side note, I'm totally excited we're 5-1, could have easily been 3-3, but forgive me if I choose to try and stay level headed about it.

I don't understand this at all. I look around and mostly see people posting about things we need to improve on. Is that really a bad thing? It's just discussion. Sure, some folks are more critical than others, but that's people for ya!

These types of posts are just the worst. This is a forum where people come to share their opinions. Nothing we do or say here can possibly affect the games being played. Yet we have the forum police out in full gear: you're not a good fan unless you say the hawks are perfect in any and every way. I wonder what our conversations would be like? "Hawks had a great game."" No way, hawks had an awesome game." " no man hawks had the besyest of the awesomest gamepossible to human kind!"

By far, in all the years I've been a part of .NET, nothing pisses me off more than when a fan tries to tell all other fans how we all should think and feel.

As if they have the corner market on the Perfect Way To Be The Perfect Fan.

LET FANS SIMPLY BE FANS WITHOUT CALLING THEM OUT FOR NOT FEELING LIKE YOU DO.

Sorry for wanting a good win/loss record and also wanting a team that can look like a good team for more than 15 minutes of a game.

How does it make someone a bad fan to want a clunky 5-1 team to be a well-oiled, dominating 5-1 team?

Should we just bask in the glory of 5-1 without looking at the team's (many) shortcomings? Sounds a bit like a circle jerk, and I vowed to give those up back in college.

Let's compromise. Starting 5-1 is pretty darn sweet. And, for a 5-1 team, we sure can look sucky.

First off, I didn't mean to disrespect anyone ... I kind of was in a hurry writing this and it kind of just came for from the heart.

I'm not trying to tell anybody how the feel or what to think or even believe.

Everybody out there will make those choices themselves.

And like I stated in my original post, as fans "every one can say whatever the hell they want"

My opinion though... is that I'm proud and honored my team is 5-1, I have my doubts, plenty of them. But this team is Awesome. We are definitely spoiled to be part of this. Its exciting. If some of these injuries situations happened between 2003-2012, we'd be 3-3 at best. And we all know what happens when O-Lines suffer multiple injuries in 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 for starters.

Again, feel whatever you want to feel, say whatever you want to say, I just some people, even myself at times, and just have an opinion without having to trash certain players or even the team in general because they are perfect or dominant every time. I wish some people can see the hard work and effort these players are giving, and how ugly it is, and that's every game this season, even the Jacksonville win was ugly, most of the wins since 2011 have been ugly. And the Seahawks have been competitive for a long time, 31 straight games with a losing differential of 7 points or less.

There's just too much focus on the negative, intelligent focus and you get sucked into the analysis or hate, and it just starts consuming the reality of today, that this team sits atop of the NFC (5-1, 2-0 vs NFC) and the team now controls its own destiny with 10 conference games and an important head to head match-up in a Home game vs the currently 5-1 Saints.

And if others can influence me with their negativity, can possibly attempt to make that audience to look up and know this is a time for celebrating. I can't remember the last time the Seahawks were 5- 1 off the top of my head, and it doesn't help that I'm a little celebratory drunk right now after having to work a 10-7pm shift thus missing the game.

Again I am sorry. I truly apologize Seahawks.net. I merely was trying to be ironic in my OP, I thought I could be overwhelmingly and influentially positive as much as some people are being unnecessarily pessimistic to downright jerks trashing on the players and the team, and more tone became more condescending and direct. So my apology if I offended anyone.

People start trashing my team, I'm going to stick up for them, you know.

Go 'Hawks.

The point is the moaning is disproportionate to the problem. If our kicker is fit for one play we likely win the game 23-6 - when we're missing 2 starters on the O-line plus our starting TE and MLB. What exactly do you expect in that situation? People asking 'if locker plays do we lose' if harvin plays do we blow them away? This Titans team has lost 3 games so far, one to the Texans in OT and one to the (still) unbeaten chiefs by a score. If we'd been:d struggled to put the Jags away at home 3 Qs I'd consider there a problem, but instead that happened to the 'unstoppable' Broncos

At no point yesterday did Seattle actually look like losing the game, and in fact, in the second half they WERE damn near unstoppable. Fumble prone maybe, but even when they fumbled they kept the drive going.

Its honestly the worst part of .net. I'm a very blunt person and call what I see and I can't tell you how many times Ive had to explain myself for being a moreso logical, honest and real fan instead of a Seahawk fan with Seahawk colored glasses. Sadly it comes from a lot of the older members, which is weird considering those should be the ones who are most understanding as we are all Seahawk fans. Lots of entitlement stuff thats not necessary. Anyway we get these posts every year and I'll keep telling you the same thing... don't tell me how to act or feel because God gives everyone free will. Youre allowed to see things different from others.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against saying things like "the O-Line is definitely in need of work, our receivers should be getting a bit more separation, our running game needs to convert more third and short opportunities".

But the general mood seems to be "we were lucky to win" even though Maragos scored more points for the Titans than they did for themselves.
