Big Dumper probably won't hit 60 dingers again, so adding a contact hitter to the lineup is a good add. Might need to play some more small ball.

Hopefully we have fewer injury problems in the rotation.

As much as I hate the Blue Jays, I like how they play offense. All about putting the ball in play.

Naylor, Refsnyder, and Donovan signed, and Colt Emerson making an occasional appearance, should lead to 1) more base hits and 2) fewer runners stranded. And hopefully 3) avoiding, for the most part, long stretches of going cold at the plate as a team — something that has hampered them in recent seasons.

All of which should bolster the likelihood of surpassing 90 wins in 2026. And if J-Rod can find a way to be even more productive at the plate… damn!

Stay healthy, Ms — especially Naylor, Donovan, and Raleigh.

Julio is plenty productive. We just need him to get off to a hot start.

Shocking to me. I don't think the offense is as good as the Jays or Yanks or the A's even. If the pitching is 23, 24 tier then yes they should be AL favorites.

While his defense is always top-notch, he's had well-documented issues offensively. I know some of his 2025 batting/offense stats looked OK/decent by season's end, helped in large part by fewer struggles at the plate in the latter half of the season, but "...find a way to be even more productive at the plate" for 2026 is certainly something I think most of us can agree with. FanSided's Powell seems to agree -- note comment regarding Julio:

I'm over the Julio bashing and/or having to stick up for the guy. I know what type of player he is and what he brings to the table.

Agreed he played fine in the offs. The entire top of the line up is proven.

It's ok, I know how this goes. If he doesn't hit .375 in the first 2 months, he sucks, he's a bust, blah blah blah.

At this point, it's just funny.
