Aiyuk Requests a Trade

I say just let the situation fester for as long as possible. Let Aiyuk hold out for all of training camp, and maybe the first game, then come back not ready to play, and then get traded for peanuts.

Those are more than what I would have offered him if I were a GM. He thinks he is Justin Jefferson level but performs more like George Jefferson (from that 70s tv show).

I'm with you, just annoying that the 49ers seem to hog up all of the offseason every year now. Bosa, Deebo, Lance Trade, Trent Williams, and Aiyuk.

With that said, I didn't hear multiple 1's is what it will take though, I've heard a 2nd round and a player, preferably a WR.

Guess I let it roll of my back like a duck, having been here before Baseball, Basketball and the NFL seeing news from all over was normal and wishing we had a team of anything, now we have all 4 or 5 if you count the Storm. It's nice to see your team in the news sometimes, other times you do face palms. Seeing another team do face palms when you have one is great mindful therapy however.

So the more concrete reports were that the Browns offered Amari Cooper a second and a 5th which the 49ers accepted but Aiyuk did not want to play there . 49ers were asking for a second and a 3rd from Pittsburgh but the Steelers did not want to give that up…. Looking more and more that he will play with SF this year . They apparently had talks before leaving for tenneseee

Realistically, he's not going anywhere, he wants to be paid, SF doesn't seem to want to pay him or think he's worth the money $$$, but what they requested for trade obviously shows they have no intention of just trading him where it benefits them. If he want's money he wont hold out either because that could cost him money or even leave a black eye for teams who might want to pursue him when or if he becomes truly available and they'll remember this.

To me this shows that 1. whiners know they don't need him by not wanting to pay him what hes asking. If reports are correct they seen to be about 2mil apart. That is not much for a GM to get by adjusting contracts. 2 they are spreading rumors to up the trade value because he is not generating what they want.

I think they need him and want him, they just know a huge contract is coming up soon and that they can only afford to pay so many high end contracts

That's correct and he isn't one of those HEY WE HAVE TO DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO KEEP HIM GUYS. Wich is why they don't give him what he wants. He's just a luxury for them.
