The 49ers have the framework of a trade in place to send Aiyuk to either Cleveland or New England.

The 49ers have negotiated the framework of trades that would send wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk to the Cleveland Browns or the New England Patriots, a league source told NBC Sports Bay Area on Monday night.

Now it's up to Aiyuk to determine if he will accept the contract terms from either of those franchises, the source said.

The 49ers gave permission to Aiyuk to negotiate potential contracts with the Browns, Patriots, Washington Commanders and Pittsburgh Steelers, the source said.

Worried yet?
Yes, worried now. Hopefully they get a receiver in a trade or Pearsall steps up this year, but not good overall. I really like Aiyuk but it looks like the 49ers are not going to budge on their offer. Juwan Jennings and Chris Conley are having good camps, but it will not be the same. Shame

Typical small market move if Browns get him...they'll load up sf with future picks throw in Cooper and Aiyuk is Dwayne Bowe 2.0 in a year....win win for niners legacy status.
Yeah I'd be happy with Cooper. Kendrick Bourne not so much

I did see this coming in April and bought about 15 Aiyuk rookie cards to flip. True story!

Honest answer. You put pride aside.

/respect

You guys still have a lot of weapons. I don’t see you budging either.

I don’t think you guys will necessarily need a guy of Aiyuk’a caliber to be successful.

It’ll be interesting to see what he does elsewhere.

Very true. One way or another, the Niners will come out ahead.

Great management does that.

I seriously hope he's gone. I think he's one of their best players so lets get him out of here.

I say just let the situation fester for as long as possible. Let Aiyuk hold out for all of training camp, and maybe the first game, then come back not ready to play, and then get traded for peanuts.

Looks like NE dropped out. Hinges on the Browns offer.

If recent history tells us anything, they may make another that SF cannot refuse.

I see the Niners coming out of this better than before. 🫣.

As I stated from the beginning, I predict he's not going anywhere.

The report was that New England offered 28.5 million per year which was declined. Reports are 49ers are offering 26 million per year, so not a huge gap

Imagine that, a football player turning down 28.5 million.......to play a sport. Must be sooooooooooo rough.

Well these things tend to fester and one of two things happen, they sign him and it starts a domino effect in the franchise with everyone now wanting to get paid, or the 49ers miss the chance and end up trading him to quell unrest and get less then they could of acting earlier.
