Bait and switch?
I suppose one could reach that conclusion if they were looking really hard for something to complain about.
My bad.
Just an observation.

Well, it was a classic bait and switch, but I'm not complaining. It was a worthy subject, just that the way you put it made it look a little like a fanboy's reaction. No need to apologize.Bait and switch?

So… I said my comment after listening to Pete, and you…? I never said anything bad about Adams. Feel free to carry on.He could have 10 tackles and 3 sacks. But, people would still whine and moan about him and the trade etc.
Yes, Pete and John it was a horrible trade that hasn't worked out and will likely never work out compounded by a crippling contract that has prevented the team from making much needed and better moves for the defense.Damn, did someone pee in your cereal or something?
A fun fact...well, not so much fun as it is sad. The last time Jamal Adams got a quarterback sack was Dec. 20th, 2020 vs. the then Washington Redskins. To save you the mental process of doing the math, that's 90 days south of 3 years.
I mention that to show why I'm not getting my hopes up that he can turn around our pass rush problems.
Would you please stop using facts and logic so we can go with the "Peed in her Cheerios" narrative?Yes, Pete and John it was a horrible trade that hasn't worked out and will likely never work out compounded by a crippling contract that has prevented the team from making much needed and better moves for the defense.
The reason he wasn't being asked to blitz the following year is because teams had accounted for him, he wasn't getting to the QB when he did blitz, and because he couldn't get home, we got burned, to the tune of the 31st ranked pass defense, so he was asked to play more coverage out of necessity. That fact leaves out the reality that the following year, he wasn't asked to blitz and pressure the way he'd been before. They played him almost exclusively off the line and deep. And when they used him to blitz, they did it poorly.
Hard to get sacks when the scheme calls for you not to. Or makes your intent obvious.

Seahawks are minimizing Jamal Adams' impact with 'obvious' blitzes
Jamal Adams has no sacks in 2021 and while the Seahawks blitzed him more in Week 6, Michael Bumpus said Seattle can rush him better.sports.mynorthwest.com
Take the Yellowbrick Road Dorothy. So you guys actually believe he will see the field and be exactly as before? I'm curious what planet are you Jamal worshipers from unless from New York?
In all fairness Soul, there is a difference between wanting him to fail and anticipating he will fail due to a pattern of not meeting expectations. Some people want him to fail, it's pretty obvious. Strange times indeed..........
You asked and I don't play around or back off it's not how I live my life or any Capricorn does we hate bullshit and shortcuts and in my opinion Jamal Adams is/was the ultimate shortcut that went completely wrong on every possible level.
