Using current win/loss records, the Seahawks are:

8-0 vs teams with losing records

4-3 vs teams with winning records

Also, coincidentally, 4-3 against teams in the playoff hunt or already qualified.

Take it as you will, but we haven't lost to a team with a losing record or a non-contender yet. I have to think that this leads to a beatdown of the Lambs this Sunday, but I know it probably won't be a walk in the park. They seem to have been playing us tough recently, and I know that Fisher loves to pulls things out of his butt almost every game. "Music City miracle" anyone?

Arguably, the Niners and the Cards had more to play for than we did the past couple of weeks. I sure hope the team gets up for this one and comes with their "A" game. Anything less could be embarrassing.

Interesting. By way of comparison, all four of the Niner losses have been to winning teams as well (which would have made a possible loss to Atlanta last night even more embarassing).

Thus San Fran is 3-4 vs teams with winning records, and 8-0 vs teams with losing records.

The cardinals turned into a pretty good team with Playoff hopes. Give them some credit.

Kind of why I used current records instead of record at the time we played them. I have to at least respect them.

But 1-0 championship week every week.

And 12 out of 15 times it has worked.

We can't let them hang around and give them hope they can win. Put the hammer down early. How about coming up with a gameplan that works?

Point was, it really didn't look like they were applying that philosophy on Sunday. Whether it was just a lack of effort or holding back, it certainly wasn't what this team is capable of.

Or even making an adjustment when it isn't working.

While I agree with this, it seems to be in the nature of how Pete sees the game that we get off to a slow start. He's all, "when do you win the game? in the 4th quarter" on the team. Unfortuanately, you can lose the game in the first quarter if you don't watch yourself.

We really need to sharpen up our offensive game plan, TBS. We're 8-0 vs teams with a losing record so far this season. The Lambs are 7-8. We need to continue that trend.

In regards to getting off to a fast start against the Rams, nothing in the past games between Fisher and Carroll points to a fast start. This game is going to come down to the 4th quarter in another "defense needs a stop" scenario or the offense needing to drive the length of the field for the winning score.

Only way this turns into a laugher is some big plays on ST and the dike bursting. And that could be either side. I just don't want to see tight play since the team prides itself on having the mental edge and being prepared to play at a level required to win the big games.

We will be alright as long as we don't run on first down for 2 yards, run the same exact play on 2nd down for 1 yard, and on third down throw a 50 yard bomb to a receiver that doesn't get separation.

True though. The offense stunk it up in so many ways beyond playcalling that it was embarrassing.4 interceptions in the 1st half and only 3 points scored? Ridiculous.

Before the last game you could have listed off a bunch of stuff about the Seahawks dominance at home and how unlikely it was to lose to the Cardinals (or anyone else) in Seattle.

Even though I am nearly certain that we will demolish the Rams, these statistical tidbits are meaningless. If we lose, the stats change and these current stats will be long forgotten.

I agree with Dr. J. This game will come down to the 4th. I hate to admit it but it's true.

It won't be a blowout unless we get turnovers. I believe Arizona was that anolamy all Superbowl champions experience.

I just want to see am EQUAL focus for penalties on both sides, and in all phases of the game.
Harbaugh sniveled to the League, and emphasized the Officials should pay special attention to the Seahawks Defense to try and garner whatever edge he could wring out in our last matchup.
It probably doesn't help much, that the League is in a ruckus with Browner, and his suspension, with his ties to the playing style of our LOB Secondary.
I may be totally off on this, but it sure seems fishy that the League has turned it's special attention/focus towards how aggressive our whole Defense plays.
