It's not.

The people that wanted to keep Pete tend to be more understanding of the reality of how difficult it is to coach successfully in the NFL.

Realistically I’d give MM 3 seasons. That’s enough for 3 rounds of FA, Drafts, and indoctrinating his scheme into players.

The defense is bad for sure but I think it falls on still being a lot more of Pete's roster than what MM wants to run. Personnel is not there for the Rex Ryan/Ravens D. The next season or two will look a lot different roster-wise on D. The thing bothering me the most is the effort level since Detroit and quite literally no one making a play.

Yup. It's the overreaction gang. I had us going 9-8 this year and perhaps squeaking into the playoffs with a new coaching staff and needing another year to address roster shortcomings.

I can spot the difference between an individually coached but underperforming NFL defense and a defense whose starters have given up on the season.

I was not expecting Mike to win the SB or even reach the playoffs this year, but I was not expecting THIS.
