Ag 8:44 in the 4th a TB defensive player dives at Russell's knees and takes him down by his lower left leg, yet no flag. Saw lots of holding by TB and was surprised they weren't called, maybe they let both sides play through it but it sure seemed like our DL was being held up.

That's because those are Mike Carey's calls to make and he wasn't about to protect a Seahawks QB.

Seahawks got a huge break with Lynch's upset stomach not being an issue for the entire game (at one point tweets from local reporters were saying he had tweaked his knee). The decision to put Michael on the inactive list for Hill could have been a big problem if Turbin was the sole remaining healthy RB.

• To me, the Bucs Defense really got away with a bit of murder in this game. There were some late shots on Wilson that I thought frankly deserved a flag. Wilson took a bit of a beating in this game and I’m honestly hoping that we don’t hear of a fracture in his non-throwing hand or a concussion tomorrow........

Mike Carey.

My thoughts are that in both the Rams and Tampa games that the defense was more interested in stripping the ball than they were tackling. That they were trying to get the big turnover against young ball carriers to turn it into easy points.

I have never worried about the offense getting things done, yesterday was an early landslide of what I believe to be handicap officiating, the unlikely Hawk turnover, the lack of creating turnovers (Tampa muff that Lane didn't recover, ET clean pick being called a penalty) and the choice to strip instead of tackling.

Ultimately the defense started tackling and the offense just did what they do.

The Hawks overcame turnovers, crap calls and bad tackling. They never once panicked. They weren't lucky, Tampa was lucky and that still wasn't enough for the opposition to win.

I counted 2 helmit to helmit hits on Wilson. I don't think it was on purpose, just the fact that when a 6-4 squares up to make a hit his head is level with Wilsons. It SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED ANYWAY!

Great thoughts Kearly !

- After being down 21-0 we scored on every possession but the INT (and end of 4th Q when time expired). RW completely took over the game. Really hoping this kickstarts our offence for the remainder of the season

-I think by far our new biggest concern is run D. O-line problems are well documented but I think that'll be shored up with the return of Okung & Breno. We are not missing anybody on our D-line. Until last week I thought we were great all year against the run, but 200 yds back to back is just scary. I know PC said they're trying to strip the ball too much instead of tackling, but many of the runs were in gaping holes as well. Really hoping the film shows where the problems are, since we play a guy named AP in 2 weeks

- Has Browner had a game in his career where he didn't get a PI call ? Saying that, the LOB played well. Glennon fits some balls in really tight spaces and I thought was really impressive

- Kearse is nowhere near dynamic enough as a returner to offset his fumbles. Really think we gotta get Percy on KR's once he's back healthy

- Good call Kearly on throwing guys forward on tackles. I think we give up 25 yds/game lately on those alone. Lol

- I was definitely happy when Schiano didn't go for that 4th & 3 from around midfield at the end of the 4th Q. He'd been pretty agressive with some calls and thought at 0-7 on the road that there was a chance they'd go for it, particularly with their success on 3rd downs in the game. Was pretty darn happy to see they didn't

- Steven Hauschka is just money these days. I expect him to make every single FGA he takes

- heard that RW was under duress on 59% of his dropbacks yesterday. He wasn't sacked once. Not that it's news to anybody, but his mobility is a HUGE reason for our success

- Golden Tate is one hell of a playmaker and really hope we're able to re-sign him. Having him and Percy out there is gonna be about as dynamic as it gets

Yes but that's probably after the bye week. He's not near as close as some here would want to believe.

Pete mentioned this today.

But this isn't anything new, our defense panics when things aren't going well. Too many players trying to be the hero, which causes breakdowns and being out of position.

I used to say it's because we're young, but that doesn't fly anymore. All these guys are at least in their 3rd year, no more excuses for missing assignments and gaps.

We allowed a lot of rushing yards because the TB O-Linemen were dominating up front. Our players were not disengaing after the initial block and Jones was running hard.

Shame on you, giving credit to the other team, as if those dudes get paid to play football. What kind of crappy fan are you?

I am really concerned about how often the OLine is allowing RW to be hit. Brock Huard reported on his show this morning that Wilson was hit on 59% of all the pass plays. That is not acceptable and will get him hurt and knocked out if the OLine can't do a better job.

Wilson is getting very substandard pass protection from the OLine.

Our D Line shouldn't be dominated by ANYONE'S O-Line. Period.

This is an effort/motivation/assignment problem. Not a their O-Line > Our D-Line.

Well the first drive looked like an easy TD then we had the INT. So that changed the game there. The pass int calls also had a big effect. Then there was a fumble from Kearse so there are a lot of real legit reasons for how that game played out. The Hawks had a bad first half it's that simple.

So you did a player by player analysis of their line and are of the opinion Seattle owns the individual matchups? Which ones?
