As of now, Six player will take up 67% of our 2025 cap. Not one of them made the Probowl but Big Cat did get selected as an alternate

The six players are Geno, Metcalf, Lockett, Nwosu, Big Cat and Dre’Mont Jones

This has to change

Annual cap cost has drawn fan concern since the so called pandemic. And, thus this annual topic.

Current 2025 Cash Flow Schedule .......

Geno ..................25M
Tyler...................17M
DK .....................18.4M
Dre'Mont ..........16.5M
Leo Williams ...20.85M
Nwosu .............17.75M

.............. Cash Flow is the relevant value number to consider.

Metcalf, lockett and Jones can all go far as I'm concerned. We need capitol for OLine and Dline studs. Lockett will go down as one of the best to ever do it in seattle, but I fear his time has come.

Metcalf is a mental midget, and Jones has been a no show accept for a couple plays here and there. You're not going to find another QB better than Geno this off season, restructure his last year, and use the capitol to beef up the trenches, while looking to draft your QB in 2026.
And who is that QB going to throw to?

Got to bring recievers in via trade or free agency.
I thought we were doing that for OL and DL too. Now we have to add more.

Why not toss around ideas based on smart team building instead of "I want to vent my frustrations with DK"?

Lol, ok bud. You obviously dont read my post, and are just spouting off because i criticized an average wide reciever you obviouslyhave a mancrush on. Had you actually read most of my post, you'd know that 90% of them are calling to beef up the trenches first, then add skilled pieces. But please dont let that stop your little sunday rant against anyone who wants to move on from your boy. Enjoy your Sunday? 👍

That's simply not true. First off I don't think our draft failures were on Schneider alone, I think Carroll played a very big role. We all know pete liked his shiny new skill players, and neglected the trenches for years. Hell he even drafted and tried to convert D lineman to Offense.

Secondly, soon as pete was gone they drafted lineman and a line backer early in the draft. Players we needed. Carroll drafted a corner and a reciever when we could have got Carter. So I'm not buying the Schneider cant draft line. I put that on Carroll. This off season we shall see.
Okay, so, you missed my point, completely.

I said Schneider may not throw big money at free agents offensive lineman.

Not that Schneider wasn’t going to draft offensive or defensive line.

I said Schneider may draft offensive line but he’s not known as a GM that likes to throw money fishing for offensive lineman in free agency and throw huge money at them.

That was my point, entirely.

Fair enough. I still don't think our draft or free agency woes are all on John, I still think our abysmal OLine and and some weak spots in our defense has carroll written all over them.
Now that John is running the show, we shall see.

We spend too much money on average / above average players. Has been this way since 2016 it feels like.

I actually agree with you that Carroll had a lot to do with Seattle’s misses during the drafts and I hope Schneider has learned from his misses and at least considers revising his value on offensive lineman.

Why is everyone (OK, so many) down on Uchenna Nwosu? Dude has simply had schitt for luck with injuries, but when healthy and available, he's always played lights out, balls to the wall, made an impact. Maybe some sort of restructure, but I think Chenna is MacDonald's kind of player, and he'll be kept. Am I giving Chenna too much credit for his injury-free season?

I do agree we're overpaying Dremont Jones, and, much as I hate to say it, Tyler Lockett. Would love to see Lockett back for one more year on an adjusted contract if that is possible. Weird how Dremont Jones seems to make a nice play then disappear for the next 3 series.
