I forget who it was who recovered that fumble.....but he apparently (according to the refs) had control, then fumbled before the goal line. They really didn't show a good view (like from the sideline cameras) of where the ball came out of his hands. But there was a change of possession, then a fumble, and a recovery in the end zone. To me the arguable part was whether he actually had possession to begin with. If he doesn't, then it's a safety. In my opinion, going by the same rules as a receiver establishing a catch, he didn't have full control.

I will point out that the box score only shows fumbles by Arroyo and Darnold. None by a defensive player.

I was more irate about the other safety they took away. Stroud was tackled in the end zone. He didn't have forward progress at all - he was running backwards. His knee came down when the ball was CLEARLY in the end zone. The "contact was made outside of the end zone, therefore the ball is down there" explanation is hogwash IMO.

AGREED!

Yes so this is what was ruled in the field:
- Stroud fumbled the ball (ball dislodged and went backwards)
- Seattle recovered at the 5 and took 2 steps (had possession)
- Seattle defender tackled and fumbled the ball inside the 1 ( we had no camera view down the line but it looked like he lost it before the end zone)
- what followed was a scrum in the end zone for the ball which Seattle had a few shots at it but ended with Houston.
- so fumble, fumble recovery, fumble, touchback. Except there was an illegal motion penalty on Houston which Seattle could take which made the play mute in the end.

Trick plays work or not are set ups for down the road, teams have to take time to account for them, may not have worked yesterday but they work on them in practice and when we really need a spark or something will have worked on them enough hopefully to succeed in the future, remember we are still in learning mode with this offense, indicators two receivers in same zone yesterday, running game inconsistent etc. I hope we are patient enough to get there before we change again, just remember we could have Grubb calling plays another year :)

Only sure thing is can we get a blocking dummy to replace Bradford, probably a upgrade.
Exactly. We had a big 4th down last night on a 4th and a long 1 and Darnold threw to JSN for a somewhat long gain to move the chains. When I said weeks ago they are setting teams up with passes there even though they didn't work at the time, some people around here called me crazy and basically dumb for even suggesting it. But last night it worked basically because of setting it up early in the year.

5 wins is nice but I'm not seeing a lot of wins on the remaining schedule. Sure, my eyes are closed and I'm not seeing much of anything at the moment, but I don't see what that has to do with anything.
200
TARDS- Win
Titans- Win
Commanders-Win
Falcons-Win
Vikings-Win
Panthers- Win
Rams 2X- Split
9ers-Win
Colts- Loss

Have you even looked at the schedule?

Not to sound like a lame, but this might have been the perfect win in the right time of the season, This game had a lot of good, and a lot of bad for the seahawks.. going into the bye week will give them the opportunity to self-scout and make necessary changes to fix the issues...

Here and there
This team could easily be 7-0. We’re the best team in the league
I agree...I mean our losses is totally because we are our own worst enemy at the worst possible times. This team has talent...The Defense is for real. QB...Darnold can go up against any QB out there right now with a strong fighting shot of winning. If we can just cut down on the costly mistakes, boneheaded cutsie type calls which have not served us well and get this darn injury bug out of the way...watch out NFL world...we are about to take center stage..book it!

That's insane that you think the Cards, Titans, Commanders, Falcons, Vikings, Panthers, and 49ers are all going to win against us. Have you even looked at how poorly those teams are doing this year?

This might sound crazy but…I only see us losing 1 more…beat by the Rams the first time…MM counters McVay the next time.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be shocked if we ended up 15-2. I know…slow your roll. But sheesh this team is good.

Here's where we disagree :

We beat the Rams the first time ON THE ROAD because that's how we roll.

The 2nd time, unfortunately, our Home-field disadvantage strikes again as McVay counters MM.

So we're wining 10 straight games after the bye?... 😳.... Wining 10 straight games is difficult even for great teams firing on all cylinders, and I don't believe we are that yet, I mean even the LOB didn't win 10 straight games, but the 2005' team won 11 straight, so I guess anything is possible 🤷🏻‍♂️

Last seasons Seattle loses that game. IMHO. Geno would have taken sack after sack with that Texan team. We have the QB and the players to move forward to something great now. Just a few key pieces away. No need to attempt a trick play when you are headed for another score. But we won but I don't think the score tells the whole story. Bad calls and some not so great decisions cost us points. But a W is a W.
I have told numerous people that Geno Smith was no good. Sure, dude had a few good games but overall not a good QB. Smith wanted his bag because he knows deep down inside of his sole he would be VERY below average this season.
