It’s all that matters.

Three way tie for first place.

Our defense is filthy.

Texans #1 scoring D gave up 27 points.

JSN makes me giggle like a little school girl.

We won at HOME.

Not a dominant win but A WIN. Which is all you are judged by in the NFL. Nobody ever says “Yes the 1987 Seahawks beat the Chargers but it was sloppy.”

Congrats Mariners on a hell of a season. I’m sorry for all of you fellow diehard Seahawks fans who are also diehard M’s fans. Keep your chins up. I feel you.

Now that we won I can watch the game in full. And hell yes I am going to smoke a celebration cigar! We’re 5-2 bitches! Tied for first place and a tip of the cap to the Mariners for an amazing season.

Give me back that Kupp interception and add 2 points for that safety we got that all of a sudden wasn't a safety anymore. That Kupp interception we were most likely gonna score a TD on that drive.

Yeah would anyone like to explain to me in layman terms how the F that wasn’t at the very LEAST a safety if not a fumble TD for us?!?!?

Dubious.

I kinda get the Kupp play. Not a terrible idea to throw them off but Kupp threw a poor ball. It happens. But yeah, let’s not try to out cute ourselves.

Last seasons Seattle loses that game. IMHO. Geno would have taken sack after sack with that Texan team. We have the QB and the players to move forward to something great now. Just a few key pieces away. No need to attempt a trick play when you are headed for another score. But we won but I don't think the score tells the whole story. Bad calls and some not so great decisions cost us points. But a W is a W.

Well I DON'T.

Sam was moving the ball and the offense just fine in that drive.

He had just completed a big throw to JSN.

They were in the redzone.

Why take the ball out Darnold's hands for a playcall like this? 🤷‍♂️

Look, even if Kupp completed the pass, I still think it's the wrong decision.

Trick plays like that are usually used if the offense can't move the ball but the offense showed it has been moving the ball.

Face it. Kubiak pulled another "Jalen Milroe maneuver" (aka Boneheaded decision) again and it cost us a potential 7 points.

Now had they tried that same play if we were DOWN 12-27? Yeah, we would have words this morning.

If we were down 12-27, there would've been bigger issues to discuss than just that. 😅

i must admit. I know i know i should just be celebrating a win, especially at home, it is ALL that matters.....BUT. A recurring theme with this team is an inability to put teams away. We saw it vs San Fran, Arizona, Jaxonville and now Houston. Last night was incredibly frustrating watching the offense seemingly tense up, increase the error count, turnovers, penalties etc. The defense is utterly FILTHY. They looked incredible. Didn't deserve to give that TD away at the end, and will only get better with the injured pieces coming back after the bye (including Hall as confirmed by Mike). I just wish we could put a game together and then this team will be a serious problem for everyone. The defense could well end up leading avg points per game conceded by the end of the year

Maybe because I only saw the second half of the game, I came away a lot less optimistic about the offense. I saw the Darnold fumble in the end zone, his interception and the Arroyo fumble. Way too many mistakes. I hope that these issues don't get swept under the rug just because they won. Good coaches know that these teachable moments go down smoother after a win, but players have to realize how critical they are, nevertheless.

Still, a good win, and the defense was excellent against a very poor Houston offense.

Trick plays work or not are set ups for down the road, teams have to take time to account for them, may not have worked yesterday but they work on them in practice and when we really need a spark or something will have worked on them enough hopefully to succeed in the future, remember we are still in learning mode with this offense, indicators two receivers in same zone yesterday, running game inconsistent etc. I hope we are patient enough to get there before we change again, just remember we could have Grubb calling plays another year :)

Only sure thing is can we get a blocking dummy to replace Bradford, probably a upgrade.

I forget who it was who recovered that fumble.....but he apparently (according to the refs) had control, then fumbled before the goal line. They really didn't show a good view (like from the sideline cameras) of where the ball came out of his hands. But there was a change of possession, then a fumble, and a recovery in the end zone. To me the arguable part was whether he actually had possession to begin with. If he doesn't, then it's a safety. In my opinion, going by the same rules as a receiver establishing a catch, he didn't have full control.

I will point out that the box score only shows fumbles by Arroyo and Darnold. None by a defensive player.

I was more irate about the other safety they took away. Stroud was tackled in the end zone. He didn't have forward progress at all - he was running backwards. His knee came down when the ball was CLEARLY in the end zone. The "contact was made outside of the end zone, therefore the ball is down there" explanation is hogwash IMO.
