Why didn't we go for 3? Was it because of Dickson holding? Sure it turned out well only because of the horse collar, but I thought why are we passing up on taking the lead. Please enlighten me. Was it just MM being aggressive?

MM said -- 50 yard field goal with Dickinson not feeling good and only 1 yard to gain? **** it, we're scoring a TD.

Also, defense was giving him a lot of confidence to get the ball back if we didn't.

MM / Grubb is a little bit too aggressive.

Like the aggressiveness, but not if your short yardage game is consistently bad.

Late in the 3rd we had, what, 7 or 8 plays inside their 5 and couldn't get in. I was thinking back to that series while I was screaming at the TV 'take the 3'. It worked out, but man, only because of the horse collar penalty.

Perfect question
I get going for it a lot of times, but holy cow man, the team clearly wasn't getting it in positions when they could take points.
Most of the Jets "points" happened off of just retartded football stuff.
Call me conservative but take the points sometimes please !
Ill also take the win awooo

I'm more concerned with that playcall on the 4th down from our own territory where the Jets swarmed DK and got flagged for PI. I guess I didn't see what everyone was doing, but it felt like we were giving Geno a very limited number of options on a critical play. If the Jets don't get called for the penalty, Grubb is probably getting rightly eviscerated for it right now.

For me, the most questionable call was being in shotgun on 4th down from the half yard line. Is there any other team in the NFL who would do that?

With the QB under center, the defense in that situation is almost certainly selling out to stop the run, but by being in shotgun, you've pretty much telegraphed your intentions, making the defenses job that much easier. Our short yardage offense is abysmal as evidenced by that failed drive, even after being given multiple opportunities inside the 5 due to Jets penalties.

I've been defending Grubb, but I feel like I'm ready to join the "one and done" crowd. I don't think he's ready. His play calling is clearly more suited to the collegiate game. He's not an NFL caliber OC, at least not yet.

Both those guys need to go. Plus those returners are complete garbage and have been all season. Worst ST in the league.

I think Alabama will have an OC opening next year.

Plays like that are why I more and more have a problem with grubb
I thought he would be a great hire but just telegraphs almost every play in 1 way or another , either that or he is going to flip the script and totally fake out opposition if we get to the playoffs but pretty positive that's not it lol

Why are people saying we got bailed out when Charbs was horse collared by a lineman? He very well could have had enough momentum to push forward or break a tackle if not for that.

Yeah I couldn’t believe that. Or taking the first field goal to go within 2 points and tons of game left.
