Seattle fan base is pretty wishy washy (especially the Mariners)
Have you watch the Mariners? We have a reason. They blow it every damn year. they have made the playoffs 5 times in their HISTORY.
Nothing ever changes, including this year. The yearly tease happened, and the yearly choke is happening.

True. I was responding to the comment about the Mariners fans being wishy washy.

This "report" if you want to call it that, and I don't, is complete BS. There will be red and gold at the stadium but not anywhere near 53%. I could see 35% tops because SF fans travel well. Mostly by correctional facility bus.

Generational changing of the guard. Say what you will about the grey-bush crowd, but we would never have let this happen.

Having said that, the Seahawks need to start fielding a more competitive and consistent team. We were 3-6 at home last season, after all.
Grey-bush crowd ? 😂

But hey , you're right . That didn't happen on our watch . Seattle fielded some pretty uninspiring teams but the seats were still blue and green

If you "need" the money, don't be a STH?

It's pathetic selling out to other fan bases, period. If you can't go, find Seattle fans to sell it to.

I’ve got to align with this statement.

Seahawk fans absolutely created a home field advantage at one point in time, it appears that is no longer the case.

I’m all for capitalism but can’t support a version of it where people hang on to, or purchase Season tickets for the sole purpose of making money.

For those that simply can’t afford to buy and use all of the tickets in a season, at least make a substantial effort to ensure Seahawk fans are using your tickets. In the day and age of social media it’s not that hard to advertise in a way that gives you control.

I get it, the re-seller sites make it convenient but selling to the opposing fans actually hurts our team.

Wasn’t that long ago that I was proud of, and bragged about our fans at home games. Can’t really do that anymore and it’s certainly sad for me.

This has been a long standing debate and I understand fully that tickets are the property of those that own them, they have every right to do with them as they choose.

Personally I can’t respect those that sell to opponents fans. I believe they should make every effort to ensure that Hawk fans are sitting in their seats if they can’t attend.

I’m financially stable so I’d rather give tickets away than allow any opposing fan to sit in my seats.
Those that aren’t financially stable probably shouldn’t be buying season tickets in the first place.

YMMV

Seahawks fans just need to show up early and take all the good parking.

Opposing fans can park across town, then have them all enter through one single door away from the good fans. Let them show up mid third quarter. They will not he missed.

I checked Vivid' website -- as well as other sources -- to see if they have a habit/history of inflating their sales stats.
It's my understanding, that the 53% being touted on Twitter (if authentic), is 53% of Vivid' inventory, which is not
the same thing as the capacity of Lumen Field, by any stretch of the imagination. Seemingly, semantics are in play …

Yep, and screaming our lungs out regardless.

I actually empathize with the current block of game attending fans a bit. In all fairness to them, our ticket prices were relatively cheap compared to now. It was easier to justify going to a game in the Kingdome in the 90's when you knew we were going to get shellacked when tickets were $50 versus $500 bucks a seat now. And we as fans have a right to expect a competitive team on the field if we're paying that for tickets and don't get me started on concessions.

I think all this will be changing soon though.

It is always so hilarious to me when people act like the Mariners deserve the love the Seahawks get. The Seahawks actually TRY to win.

I completely agree. And I know I’m countering my OP, but this goes back to another thread from several months ago after the team released their statement regarding the sale of season tickets and how the team will be reviewing and potentially revoking season ticket holders (STH).

Initially, I was completely on the side of the team and bashed the STHs who were selling their seats. I said that if you’re the losers selling your season tickets all the time, do us all a favor and stop renewing them. Ffs, step aside and get out the way homie.

However, a few long time posters countered my harsh stance and essentially said that the tickets are theirs to do as they please, that the product on the field doesn’t warrant them to make the trip to the stadium, and it’s not their fault if other Seahawks fans aren’t buying the seats as there’s an equal opportunity.

Also, the YouTuber “Norbcam” made some valid points of saying hey, this is just as much the team’s fault. They’ve priced the average fan out of the stadium, the team doesn’t provide good perks to STHs for attending, and provided a solution for a platform of Seahawks fans only to buy and sell. Now, as far as the last point, I’m not sure how the team or anyone could control if someone buying a ticket online is a fan of a certain team.

So while yes, it’s quite frankly embarrassing seeing our stadium overrun by opposing fans, this is just as much the Seahawks fault as it is the 12s.

Selling a ticket here and there is fine, but the ones who have them just to flip a profit need to lose them.

Keep selling your tickets though. Don't be surprised when Jody sells the team, they end up in Oakland.
