Was in Seattle visiting a friend just after Christmas this year. It was cold and the only beenie I had was a 9ers one, so I spent a day walking around with it on. As is the case everywhere, all I got was some "9ers suck!" and other good natured ribbing, which is of course to be expected, and all in good humor. All in all a pleasant experience.
This is just to say that I was at the 9ers/Falcons game a few days before that, and it was the exact same story there between 9ers and Falcons fans (spent most of the game talking to two Falcons fans; nice guys).
I only bring this all up because I know you guys are just having fun with this stabbing thing, but on the off chance that anyone actually believes it to be true in the way it gets talked about here (which seems to be the case in some of the "visting SF/visiting Candlestick threads that have come up this year), for clarification (read: not necessarily for E.C., who I assume is just having a bit of fun):
*In 2012 there was a stabbing.
*It wasn't at the stadium, or in the parking lot of the stadium. It was in the neighborhood outside one side of the stadium, which is rough (I say this on authority because I lived there w/ my dad on weekends through the late 90s).
*It didn't have anything at all to do with football or football fandom (everyone involved was from the Bay, and everyone involved were 9ers fans (the police and articles only noted their fandoms to clarify that it had nothing to do with football or football fandom). It was most likely gang related.
*It only got reported in the sports media because when it happened one of the groups in the altercation (the group in which the guy who was stabbed was in) was on their way to game, which had already started (it happened sometime during the first quarter).

Lol why should facts matter here? It's a SEAHAWKS forum, bro. They are SUPPOSED to demonize 49er players and fans regardless of reality.

twisted_steel2":21jtrdn5 said:I did a post about two niner fans I saw months ago, was pretty typical of niner fans you see in Seattle that aren't from the Bay area. Let me see if I can find it....
Found it, actually from July:
So during my lunch breaks I usually take a walk around the city. I work around Westlake/Nordstrom area, so I'll walk to the waterfront, or up into Belltown, sometimes Capital Hill and back, maybe south down around the library and back.
Always interesting things and people to see.
Today, first cool thing(or person) I see was Pat Cashman, of Almost Live fame. I was like star struck as I'm a big Almost Live fan.
Then I see a homeless guy wonder into traffic and almost get squished by a dump truck. He then does some impromptu gardening for Benaroya Hall, pulling out their plants and dumping handfuls of dirt on the sidewalk.
Then I see the two 49er fans. At first I was confused... we're not even to football season yet. But there they were, red niner caps, flat billed on sideways of course. Red jerseys... like they were going to a game. WTF
So they are in a pickup truck, pulling out of a garage. First douche move was blocking other people from getting out of the garage, because one was hanging out the passenger window trying to talk to a group of woman on the sidewalk. Apparently his game was bad, as they rolled their eyes and looked disgusted.
Then the driver guns it into traffic and almost sideswipes another car as he goes over the center line. Which then angers the two niner fans and they unleash a torrent of swearing and yelling and hand gestures.
As I'm watching the two lost knuckleheads from the sidewalk, the passenger gives me his best angry face as they drive by to unleash more stupidity on our poor city. Hopefully they don't shank anyone today.
