Probably safe to assume the Padres weren't expressing appreciation for a well-managed game.

And here's a big reason why. No doubt they're now feeling like we did after Ben supernaturally crossed the plane (not) for a TD in Super Bowl XL.

And when the games begin, if my memory of October baseball back during the Kingdome days is any indication, the volume will be so absurd that national commentators and sports writers, some with their ears ringing, will be compelled to make mention of it.

The pitch was outside corner at the knee (close) but the fact is the
Cubs were the better team, that high payroll Pads team couldn't hit
worth the shit.

The Padres have scored 5 runs in their last 5 playoff games. Nothing is rigged about that. Missed call? Sure. But the SD offense has just sucked. M's shut them out back to back games earlier this year.

Yankees getting curb stomped in Toronto. This is delightful.

I kept seeing all these experts picking the Yankees to the WS.

This got me wondering if teams are allowed to wear their city connect uniforms at any point during the playoffs. Guessing not, but hmmm..

Way more interest in MLB playoffs this season. Probably 'cause people are deliriously happy the monotonous dominance by Yankees, BoSox, Astros, and to a lesser extent Rays on the AL side is finally over.

C'mon Brewers, get it together! America doesn't want to have to gag on Dodgers making yet another WS appearance:

Dodgers in full post season juggernaut mode. Just made sweeping the 97 win Brewers look like childs play. Ohtani is the best player on the planet by a wide margin.

Really don't mean to be nut hugging on the Dodgers, but what they're doing is awfully impressive.

Yeah, that's pretty much what the Yankees and Dodgers have done with their zillion-dollar payrolls: ruin baseball. MLB will never be fair 'til they institute some sort of salary cap on all teams. Glad Jays knocked Yankees out this year, and bargain-basement Mariners making it to the big show would be quite remarkable.
