Really? Thought we still had to win a couple more games (or have some teams lose).

Those are odds... meaning, it's not a certainty yet... even though the graphic states '100%'.

Their 'magic number' is pretty low... just not sure what it is right this minute. Reseach needed.

EDIT: Their magic number as of this moment is 3... a combination of Mariner wins and Astros losses... with 6 games left to play.

Yes, this is getting uncomfortable. Please miss the playoffs by one game, again.

Joking, of course.

Below is just some random fan's prediction of the playoffs. Of all these match-ups, Dodgers-Phillies should be the most interesting. And the in the WS, if it's Ms-Phillies, I don't know man, Phillies did kick the M's asses in a three-game sweep during the season.

I want no part of the Phillies if we get that far

I don't give a sh** who we play...........it would mean we are FINALLY in the WS.

But the point is well taken, Phillies are the best team in baseball, imo.

Yankees just had the bases loaded with no outs in the bottom of the 9th, down by 2. They scored 0 runs. Haha.
And right after the cameras panned 100s of Yankee fans cheering and screaming and all excited thinking they were about to pull out a win.

Yep. That was a far more heartbreaking way to lose for the fans than if they had just gone 3 up 3 down there.

Yankers are only one step above the Stealers, and that isn't saying much.

Congratulations, Yankees, for this distinctive accomplishment! (Boy, I bet it killed to be a fan of this team last night.)

I think I would have waited until winning the World Series before dancing to this extreme:

The M's have helped regenerate my interest in baseball. I used to be a huge baseball fan going all the way back to the Roger Maris's 61 in '61. But the past 20 years of Mariner miseries dampened my enthusiasm.

Yesterday, there were a number of really good games. I didn't watch any of them in their entirety, but I did pay attention to them. Hopefully I can maintain my new found interest.

This post season has shown how dominant pitching is. A bunch of low scoring games with a ton of strikeouts. It really shows that good pitching usually beats good hitting.

Hoping Cleveland wins today.
