Kansas has a pair of WR in this draft, Grimm and Skinner, that will likely draw little attention. Kind of Deebo light. Both are game breaking catchers, get open, run any route, move the chains, run like coyotes after the catch. Someone will get them and find big benefit they didn't really expect.
They also have one of my favorite prospects in this year's draft in Mello Dotson. He's a ball hawk that isn't afraid to tackle.

I don't follow the college game much but I am wondering how you predict a steal.

If you know someone is very likely to have an impact in the NFL then surely the scouts of NFL teams know that and they will be drafted high, with lower picks taken by those expected to have less of an impact or with red flags meaning while there is a chance they could have a significant impact it is also very likely they will bust.
Seriously. Remember when Madden had Richard Sherman as the lowest rated CB in the game?

Agreed but the point I am making is if someone is "likely to be a steal", they wont be a steal because they will be taken earlier. I can't remember but how many of those guys were being talked about as steals before the draft, I doubt any were?

Our biggest steal, RW3, was considered a reach by almost everyone.
Totally agree. I think this thread is misnamed. It should be something like, underrated picks you think might be good. “Draft steals” can’t be determined until after the draft. For example a guy like Sheduer Sanders. This is a guy who has been mocked a bunch in the top 10-15 picks. However, if he slides like it looks like might be happening, and you get him in the 2nd round then everyone will claim he is a steal in the second round.

Theives don’t count their take until after they have committed a heist. Using your RW3 example, supposedly JS wanted to pick him before the third round. If they took him in the 1st or 2nd round would he still have been considered a “steal”?

This thread is just a wish list of guys floating under the radar that ya’ll hope they pick so you can say they were a steal. Would anyone have hyped Richard Sherman prior to the 2010 draft as a “draft steal”? No. Most probably looked at that 5th round pick as nothing more than camp fodder. I know I did.

“Draft steals”? Let’s explore this starting around the first of May.

Desmond Watson

He bench-pressed 225 pounds 36 times. That’s more than any player mustered at this year’s Combine. He also ran the 40-yard dash in 5.93 seconds. He mustered a 25-inch vertical leap.

464-pound, six-foot, six-inch frame.

Might be a nice addition as a NT.

We already signed him when he was a free agent of the Packers.
