Quite different approach from the draft approach from the previous 4-5 years, just a change of philosophy or change of draft boss?

I'm going with organizational philosophy. Pete's stubborn, but I have to believe his mind is open to what needs to happen regarding what works and what hasn't.

IMO Jody has changed the JS/PC balance of power with JS having final say. If Pete was still calling the shots no way he is drafting a CB and WR in the 1st rd

I think the whole "who's the boss" thing is overblown. They work well together and seem to share philosophy.

I do think the philosophy has morphed quite a bit. They used to care a little bit too much about SPARQ scores, whatever that was. Thing was, they seemed to over value some vague concept of athleticism that may or may not have translated into football skills IMO. Last year and for the first round this year they've apparently flipped that to evaluating more on football skills and less on generic "measurables." The tape seems to mean more than combine numbers.

Oh, and that whole "character" thing, too. ;)

Just my two cents.
