Listen to the whole thing on the way to work, actually a very enlightening interview.

Murray sounds like he could be an asset for getting this done, although he pretty much confirmed everybody's thought that he and both councils are going to have Key Arena's best interest in mind when deciding which proposal to get behind.

He also shed some light as to why Hansen's first go around failed, too much animosity and contentiousness with the port and unions. Murray said if he backs Hansen, it's has to be good for everyone involved with the port and unions on board.

Which I don't even know if that's possible. The port doesn't want the arena in SoDo, period. Not sure what anyone could do to change that, even building overpasses.

Sounds like he wants to take a "comprehensive" approach, which is usually a death knell for anything. You can't make everybody happy. It's not possible.

Yeah that just tells me it's gonna be another 5 years of nonsense.

Too many agendas by too many groups.............................mayor, city council, county council, the port, unions, Hansen, Lieweke, NBA and NHL. You guys actually think all these people can get together and make it happen? I don't.
