Two weeks ago after the loss to WFT, the Seahawks had a 1% chance of making the playoffs. After last weeks win against SF it went up to 3%. After yesterdays win the team sits at 4%. If they run the table, the odds go up to 60% regardless of what anyone else does in the w/l column. Trending up in the right direction. Even in what seems like a crappy year, we can still quote Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber, "so you're saying theres a chance!"
I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the ride no matter what happens.

Good attitude to take. There's no joy or tangible benefit in losing. 2022 preseason starts here and if something unexpectedly good happens it's a plus.

Playoff calculator I just used shows 50/50 if we win out. Lose any of the next 4, it goes to 1% or less.

Not sure if tonight's game will change anything. I'm guessing not. The rams would have to lose out, and we win out for anything there to change.

It's the run the table part of your equation I have a hard time believing.

Playing better against bad teams is one thing, beating actual playoff caliber teams, especially ones in our own division who know how to beat us is another.

This Rams game will be the season... I believe they can beat the Rams if they get the run game going... if Penny gets hot, Russ is going to get hot the D just needs to be average and the Hawks have a chance to win out... both the detroit and chicago games are winnable games and the Cards will be a challenge but if the Hawks are still in it by the Time the cards roll around they will have won 5 in a row and they will be one of the hottest teams in the NFL going into AZ... they have a shot..

Next week is the Super Bowl for this club. If we lose again to the Rams, not only will that destroy our slim playoff chances, I'm afraid it will be another sign to Jody Allen that Pete can't beat Mcvay

Yeah it's the most important game for 2 reasons. Since the Rams beat the Cards, if we lose it helps keep the Rams in the running for the division, which means week 18 might still mean something for the Cards. And also cause we have to win out or there is no chance.

Yeah…wasn’t happy to see the Rams win. A loss would’ve put them within reach. Additionally, AZ getting a win would’ve increased our chances of playing them while they’re resting players..

I’m really hoping they win out until our game..

Yep, and if we beat the Rams? Count me in with the rest of you Hawk glass half full optimists.

If there was ever a time we could beat the Rams, this would be a good one.

Perfect trap game for them. They basically own us. But they came off an emotional win against a key team in the division. It could be easy, if not expected, for them to have a letdown.

The challenge was that they really did not have a great #1 WR, and other than Kupp the WR was a weakness for them. Now it isn't.

For any chance of anything, we have to win the game against them.

Not sure beating them will be enough but not beating them would essentially shut the door on any chance, however slim, we still have.

The other advantage the Hawks have is the Rams are coming off a short week because of Monday night football.

What are the chances McVay is looking past the Hawks because of their record? I would say zero chance. But I am hoping that ego is inflated.

We can muster enough to beat the rams, but we were never gonna 'catch' them - hate to say that.

And if AZ has half a brain, they will rest the last game anyhow.

According to footballoutsiders dot com the Seahawks playoff chances have fallen to 1.2% due to other results. It costs nothing to hope and be engaged with the team.

Optimism for next season (for me anyway) depends on how we win. If we win because we show improvement in the pass game... if we go back to ground and pound / air assault 50/50 balance and everyone is happy in that space, because we have re established an identity we lost for the last 2 years, awesome..

If we win out getting by on the same week 1 to week 6 formula from earlier this year, feasting on covid riddled opponents or teams sitting players... a W is better than an L any day, but not sure what it would mean for next year, or that we've shown the ability to be 'different'.

It's the game within the game that I'm hoping gets markedly better. If that happens, it bodes well for W's next year, regardless of what happens this coming January.
