Back in his first few seasons, I wondered why the Seahawks weren't making Lockett the face of the franchise. He was (still is) a really good player who gave us exciting moments on the field, and he has a perfect-for-TV smile.
Tyler Lockett is one of the better WR in the NFL who continues to make the most of his blessed skill set. His arrival as a Pro Bowl caliber Kickoff and Punt returner helped ease the mistake of what we gave up to project Percy Harvin into that role. Doug Baldwin missed his "sidekick" Jermaine Kearse but soon appreciated his replacement as Tyler established his own fear and recognition into our opponents cornerbacks. Russell thrived once Tyler added another "Go to" WR for Wilson to target...besides his favorite QB friendly WR Baldwin.
Most WR fall into two main skills...pure speed coupled with soft hands (otherwise you're just a speedy decoy)...or short area quickness with decisive route recognition where your coverage separation gets you many targets. Tyler does both at an elite level...and since the arrival of DK ...Lockett usually doesn't have to match up against an opponent's best corner let alone their most physical guy. Now our team has added Jaxon Smith-Njigba...will this develop into even better coverage mismatches for Tyler? Geno now has every opportunity to hit all the performance bonuses built into his team friendly contract.

To piggyback off of the other thread, he's the most underrated WR in the league imo.

And why is that? South Alaska Syndrome? Not flashy enough personality to be memorable nationally? I truly don't get it. Dude is straight up FILTHY on the field.
