Bye, Packers; a weak O-line gets weaker. Bulaga likely out

I remember the 2010 draft, we were up in the air about who we wanted to draft... Davis or Bulaga... I remember being shocked he lasted all the way til the Pack. That really sucks. Losing a LT is huge, especially for a team that hasn't had great protection. I can't deny that it doesn't improve...

How did the Bengals turn it around?

They got a great talent in AJ Green, a capable QB, and a very underrated defense... but they're still about the 15th best team in the NFL... not exactly the cream of the crop

Wow, Sebastian Janikowski 4-yr deal for $19m, $8m guaranteed

That would make too much sense... We're talking about the Raiders here!

Wow, Sebastian Janikowski 4-yr deal for $19m, $8m guaranteed

... And with the first pick, the Raiders select... Teddy Bridgewater

Read Option : the 49ers version

That's very accurate... he seemed to excel both passing and running out of the pistol formation, where some of the drop back plays required him to turn his back... He's even mentioned that as part of his game he's looking to improve in the offseason.

    Culliver knee injury

He's made plays here and there and seems to have a good knack for playing the ball in the air... but like Marvin said, the 9ers are pretty tight-lipped with that stuff... gotta wait for preseason.

    Culliver knee injury

An unfortunate part of the game we love.... but every team goes through them, it's really all about mitigating, damage control, and just getting lucky... we'll see how these injuries play out. A draftee this year, Cooper, has been getting some press... injuries do present players buried in the...

    Good stuff on .com today

I remember he was on the Niners' radar too... Any idea why he flamed out with Arizona?

Poach a Player from each Western Rival

There's two ways to go about this... Just to win the division: Seahawks: Wilson (cripples SEA, competition with Kaep, cheap contract) Arizona: Fitzgerald (best WR in the division, expensive contract though) Rams: Long (their front 7 takes a huge it) To improve our team: Seahawks: Sherman...

Sando Just Posted Rice receiving NON-SURGICAL procedure

It looks as though the only reason this story has legs is because of the timing, and that's because the doctor in Switzerland is booked up and this is the only time Rice could get in? /thread I guess

Rice on the worst contract list

fair enough, until proven otherwise, I contend that the SEA WR/TE group remains average (if Harvin is included, they obviously take a big jump). FWIW, it's not a prerequisite for winning football.

Rice on the worst contract list

I watched 4 SEA games last year: 2x vs. 49ers, vs. Bills, and vs. Packers, as well as numerous highlights. I don't pretend to be an expert on your team, all I'm saying is from an enemy fan's perspective, the WR / TE positions aren't nearly as much of an issue as the the RB (Ill include Turbin...

Rice on the worst contract list

Rice on the worst contract list

By no means am I insinuating that Russell is bad from the pocket (or even average), but the real back-breakers are the plays were he scrambles around in the backfield and either picks up the first down or throws. I've seen numerous stats that suggest that Russell was one of the best QBs in the...

Rice on the worst contract list

really... @ 49ers: Obomanu: 50yds Rice: 32yds Baldwin: 15yds Tate: 0yds @ Seattle: Baldwin: 53yd 2 TDs Tate: 27yd Rice: 14yd Miller: 15 yds In both games, Lynch had 100+ yds. Again, not counting Harvin, but no-one else in the SEA receiving corp / TE group scares you. Russell's ability to...

Rice on the worst contract list

from the 'enemy' perspective, neither Rice nor Tate scare the defense... when you game plan against the Hawks, you have to contain Lynch and try and keep Russell in the pocket. The WR / TE positions really don't factor in (unless Harvin is in the game).

    Sophmore QB video

I agree with your performance statistics, and I'd say that YPA is more indicative than YPC... He also had 5 rushing TDs. I don't think the ESPN QBR should be a 'stand alone' stat, but it does a good job of incorporating running and 'clutch' plays. It is flawed too... you need everything together.

    Sophmore QB video

And you disagree? For taking a bad team (not as bad as their record would indicate, but still not great) and won 11 game in his rookie year, and threw the most yards as a rookie without a running game is really impressive... I know if I keep this up with you guys Ill get the ban-hammer, so ill...
