It appears Sander’s big screw up was when he went to the Giants on a 30 visit, he walked in, met team owner John Mara and kept his headphones on and didn’t take them off during his entire visit with them. John Mara has a lot of pull in the NFL and you know he didn’t keep his mouth shut about the incident. Only 7-8 teams did any research on him so the rest of the NFL had no intell

It is being revealed that half the Giants staff like Shaduer the other half Dart than after the headphone incident Mara instructed the team to select Dart

I first found out from someone I knew who is an ESPN radio on air personality in my area and after a few days there were other people saying the same thing.

My guess Sanders was trying to get the teams( Giants) that he didn’t want to play for to not draft him and it backfired. To do this you need to be a player with huge upside NFL teams considered him average. I had a 3rd rd grade on him talent wise. I was posting on this forum early in the draft evaluation process that Sheduer was being overrated by the sports media and mock drafters with most people disagreeing with me calling me crazy. The first online mock drafter that agreed with me was That Franchise Guy

There have been some YouTube videos calling the NFL racist which is what I was expecting to happen, a few have said it’s all Sheduer fault he fell including Chris Carter and Jamele Hill

Or maybe he's just not nearly as good as many have said. His dad made it worse, but he didn't do himself any favors.

Exactly. I figured 2nd round. The 1st round predictions were hilarious, at least to me. He's not 1st round talent, never was.

Falcons and Ulbrich got fined over that prank call to Saunders by Ulbrich's son.

I heard many others got prank called and nothing happened with those. The kid should be disciplined but be consistent. I hear Chase Lundt, and a few others were also prank called and not a peep about them.

Mason Graham, Shedeur Sanders among many NFL draftees targeted by prank calls

Two new teammates on the Cleveland Browns were among multiple players to receive prank phone calls during the 2025 NFL draft.

Giants' Carter also got prank call during draft

Add more names to the list. It's not a one off. Something is going on with the NFL and Sanders but I can't even begin to speculate as I have no facts just theories.

Former Titans TE Delanie Walker was calling the Sanders would drop to the 5th rd in the draft back in January and believed it so much had a $1k bet with former Titans teammate Will Compton

The coaches and front office personnel shouldn't be giving out players phone numbers to other people. That should be the reason for the fine. Prank phone calls are no big deal and nothing a young adult can't handle.

From what I read, no one gave out his number. Ulbrich's son basically stole it off his computer.
