Come on man, doesn't matter what you call it. Look how many players don't live up to their draft spot.
Many players bust, that's why I said the draft is very hard. There are some teams and GMs that have drafted many more disappointments than others though. You could fit almost half of Russell Wilson's ego in the gap between "many picks don't work out" and "random chance".

Of course, it's a ton of research and work. But there's still no such thing as a sure thing in the draft, imo.
And still taking shots at Russ, 4 years later. Come on man, you're better than that. He was a 3rd round pick and was BY FAR the best QB this team has ever had.

How's this one for a surprise pick - if at #18 would cause quite a shakeup. In such a case, I would hope after a trade down...

The Seahawks first pick of the 2025 draft is in (whatever overall number)...

Mason Taylor, TE, LSU

I think it'll be Revel. Absolutely love the player, and I think he is the type of player at a high value position that they wouldn't normally be in range to draft if not for his injury last season.

I think my board in that range would go:
1. Starks (gone)
2. Jihaad (gone)
3. Loveland (gone)
4. Revel
5. Golden/Egbuka

I would be aiming for interior oline in that 50-52 range, as I think Ratledge, MBow, Milum, Wilson are better value there than any IOL in the 1st round.

I have no problem with this part of your comments. But, it's simply not a crap shoot. That's entirely different than the draft process.
Dude, who gives a crap what I call it? I call it a crap shoot, it's a toss-up, it's an educated guessing game. Call it whatever you want. MY POINT IS THAT THERE IS A LOT OF LUCK INVOLVED.

My god, you guys are getting caught up in a name. Why does it matter? Seriously 🍺

Anyone making that claim shouldn't be taken seriously. Obviously nobody is bust-proof. Doesn't make the draft a crapshoot.

I think we all know that simply isn't true.

How successful is the moving a college tackle to NFL guard strategy? Not questioning it, just wondering how well it works.
Many factors like the team training the player transition, scheme fit, etc.

If you mean a percentage of players successfully converting from tackle to guard then I do not know this.

For a long while, I said Emmanwori....I am really beginning to believe they will go WR, but I need to stick to my guns. Emmanwori still.

Yes, that would be a Seahawk type of surprise pick

Fair enough. I won't call it a crap shoot any more. People getting bent out of shape over what I call it.
As if it has any impact on anything.
Ok, the draft is a....

Meh, can't think of anything. It's not a sure thing. That's all I got today.

R-e-l-a-x. It's OK that others disagree and have other opinions.
Funny, on the history of the draft shows all over NFL network today someone said "It CAN be a crapshoot." Again, I don't disagree with the point. I disagree when you were emphatic and said the draft is nothing but a crapshoot "period". That is my contention. Sorry that bothers you. Please let me have my opinion without giving me the business about it and let's move on.

Yes to the brew, though. Cheers! Yes, bruh, the draft CAN be a bit of a crapshoot. (I noticed you said crap in a recent Mariners post, too. I think k you just like that word. Lol. Just bustin' your chops a bit.)
