Who do you guys feel is the most impact full defense player after the top 10?
Too small with short arms.....pass!Man, Mukuba looks real nice. Actually reminds me of that other Longhorn Earl
Thank you! He's big and super athletic, but he's not a big hitter. Actually, the one knock on him that I've read is he is not physical enough. Especially for his size.Emannwori is not Kam Chancellor. He's soft. If anyone can find tape of him blowing someone up, I'll happily say I'm wrong. Either way, 18 is way to high for him.
I think we should trade down from 18 unless the BPA is also a position of need.
The OL that has me intrigued is Grey Zabel out of North Dakota State. Played both OT positions but with 32" arms he will probably play inside in the pros. He was outstanding at the Senior Bowl, playing all five positions. Eighteen might be early for him, but he could be in play if the Hawks trade back in the first. The biggest, baddest O-linemen available.
I would love Warren but he could go in the top 5 of the draft. Colston Loveland could fall to 18 but would be willing to trade up a little to get him (if we can use picks outside of our 2 2nd round picks).
This draft has less blue chip players than last year. Warren might be the 5th best player in this draft. Bowers falling to 13 was crazy. Which is why they took him after drafting at TE high last year. Its highly, highly unlikely Warren would be a top 5 pick. Brock Bowers didn't go until 13th last season and he was thought to be one of the best TE prospects ever prior to the draft. There will likely be 2 teams who will draft a QB in the top 5, and the other consensus two best players in this draft are Carter and Hunter, so hard to imagine they'd slip out of the top 5. Which then just leaves one potential team who could take him. I suppose the Jags could take Warren at #5, they no longer have a TE, but the Jags need help almost everywhere else as well.
Everyone thinks Warren will go before us but look at the teams ahead of us in this draft, either the team already has an elite TE or they have so many holes its hard to imagine Warren is prioritized. Sometimes teams go crazy for Tight Ends but its a bit more of an outlier to draft even the best talents at the position in the upper half of the draft.
There is no way the Raiders or Saints would take him. The Bears probably wouldn't given they've still got quite a bit committed into Kmet, although I guess never know. Both the Jets and Panthers have a need, but given the talent that likely would be available for them to plug other pressing holes, not sure either team would want to take him. The Jets lost Reed and Adams, but might be able to draft either Will Johnson or McMillan to fill the loss at their draft position, and the same goes for the Panthers, who in addition to possibly taking either of those players really need to draft for their defensive line.
After that, there is the 49ers at #11 (unlikely), Cowboys at #12 already have two young guys they seem invested in, Dolphins at #13 have Jonnu Smith who just clocked in a career best last year. The Falcons #15 and Cardinals #16 definitely wouldn't. Bengals literally just resigned Gesicki so that would be hard for them to justify. This really just leaves the Colts at #14 as the only team ahead of us who could end up taking Warren, assuming there aren't any trades. So I'd say it’s pretty decent odds he's going to fall, or we could potentially trade up a few spots to get him if we really want to.
Or Trade forward, concensus drafts charts have him most likelty to go between 30 and 38, we could put together a 2nd and 3rd to pick in that range (and still have another 2nd and 3rd for later picks)The OL that has me intrigued is Grey Zabel out of North Dakota State. So Matthew Golden/Tyler Warren at 18 and Grey Zabel early in the second round. I could live with that.Or Trade forward, concensus drafts charts have him most likelty to go between 30 and 38, we could put together a 2nd and 3rd to pick in that range (and still have another 2nd and 3rd for later picks)
Absolutely take Tyler Warren if he somehow is there at 18. Or, Nick Emmanwori. Otherwise, trade down. I want worthwhile O-lineman, but don't want them reaching just because we need to build the line. I would be elated to get...Warren if he reaches 18 overall.
Wait, what? My initial thought is "smokescreen" because several teams want to see him drop to them. You know that is the flavor of the season. Lies, damn lies, more lies. The prevailing thought is that he is in freefall after some disastrous interviews at the combine. Like late first early 2nd.
Not necessarilyid rather have trenches in the first, and the Colrado State guy later. They claim to want to be a tough team that people dont want to play. Their investments need to reflect that.
I think there will be a run on guards and dline between 12 and 40 or so. Taking a wr at 18 will have a shitty opportunity cost up front.
Cost way too much?Trade up for Warren!!
There is no other Kam Chancellor. Never will be. Remember... the boogeyman had nightmares about Kam Chancellor.Emannwori is not Kam Chancellor. He's soft. If anyone can find tape of him blowing someone up, I'll happily say I'm wrong. Either way, 18 is way to high for him.

Shhhhhh. He's not a first rounder though.Hollin Pierce anyone?? Enormous lineman…
So does Pete Carroll, the one who loved himself some Kam.Nick Emannwori Safety South Carolina. I think McDonald has evil intentions of how to deploy him in our Defense!
