    Defense with 31 seconds left

I really liked that Richard stayed aggressive at the end and kept four pass rushers on the field.

Coach Carroll disses the 'Negative Nancy's'

Just my opinion, but I thought the OL was a relative bright spot yesterday. Last year's line would been a total mess in this matchup. The OL yesterday looked mostly competent when it mattered. Wilson generally had at least 3-4 seconds to throw on most plays, and by the second half the OL...

    Go 9ers!

I think I'm rooting for the Rams in this one. I don't want Fisher to be staring at an 0-2 hole next week, that will put him even more into "this is our Super Bowl!" mode than usual. I also think that SF has a chance to be a minor surprise this season. I don't think they are a big threat in...

    I'm here for my crow...

Pass the crow down, I could use some as well. While for sure this was a "career day" kind of game from Marsh, his hustle and tenacity on the final series looks like it could be a long term asset for our 2 minute defense.

    Re-watched the game

@Hawknation As PFF pointed out, NFL QBs tend to take 2.5 to 3.0 seconds to throw the football on average. Usually, time to sack is around 3-4 seconds on average. I actually went conservative and made 4.0 seconds my threshold to determine pass rush pressure vs coverage pressure, but I could...

    Browns place RGIII on IR

Vote for your Player of the Game (Week 1)

I voted Marsh. Honorable mentions for Michael, Kam, and our CB trio. Baldwin did great as well, but in his case it felt like taking candy from a baby.

    Re-watched the game

I think that's fair in this case. It is very hard to be intellectual and emotional at the same time, and yesterday's game was full of emotion. Watching again the day after added a great degree of clarity for me.

    Re-watched the game

Like Brock Huard says, it's never as bad as you think on gameday and never as good as you think. I came away with a pretty different impression in some aspects after watching a second time, and overall I feel a lot more optimistic about the state of the franchise than I did yesterday. Scheme...

DeShawn Shead: PFF top-rated CB for Week 1

He had a great game though it is a slight surprise given how rarely Shead was targeted. Obviously that means he was doing his job, but he wasn't given a ton of chances to make plays so I'm surprised he ended at #1.

The Russell Wilson Ankle Injury Thread (post updates here)

It's possible that the ankle will get worse before it gets better. That said, Wilson actually looked his best AFTER the injury, particularly on the game winning drive. He had some really nice throws in the 4th quarter, and even ran a bit. He'll probably be 80% for much of the season, but...

    Long snapper situation

The way Fieldgulls explained it, the savings difference is $295k. The way others have explained it, the difference is closer to $200k. Supposedly Pete Carroll wants a long snapper who can move better than Gresham could down field to take advantage of the free release.

    Long snapper situation

I watched it again and the snap was just fine on the PAT. There were some high snaps on punts. It was enough to slow Ryan down a tick, and several of his kicks barely got off. As the PAT showed, Seattle's ST was having some trouble making blocks, so it's possible they were having issues on...
