Apparently this is the same rich a-hole who has been in a 15 year legal battle regarding beach access on his 53 acre beachfront property in California. Sounds like a quality human being!

Has Vinod Khosla created an account on DOT NET yet?
I guess the mods will have to be a bit more careful about nuking questionable new accounts from that part of the World, (and there seemed to be up to 10 per week before this).

The Niners guy wasn't my first choice, but players and coaches change team teams all the time. And often their new team is a hated rival of their previous team. Now we have an example of an owner doing it.

We all must be on high alert and exhibit the best behaviors, just to break this new ownership in and teach him the Seahawks' ways.

Weird take.. why the hell would he buy a team for $10B and not put everything into it being successful? who cares about his 49er ties.
It's almost like some here think the new owner would deliberately sabotage the Seahawks as revenge for the Niners.

Which has got to be one of the dumbest tin-foil hat theories I've seen here thus far in regards to this.

The more I hear about this family, I think we're going be ok. We'll just have to get past the Niners thing. It sounds like this was Jody's preferred buyer. She wouldn't have sold the team to someone she thought would be a bad fit.

Heard the guy owned shares (3%, I think) of the Niners for just a year (last year) so it was recent.

It wasn't like he was firmly entrenched for a long time with them.

I can't find much about Neal. Good looking guy, so hopefully we don't need Russ to be the face of anything. Apparently, you can message him on his LinkedIn page. Maybe I'll create an account and advise him to sign more Buckeyes.

Exactly the kind of blind allegiance that can sink a ship.

You sign the best players you can regardless of what school they attended.

Not a weird take to distrust lifelong 9er fans who suddenly have interest in owning a rival team, it's a weird take to imply I'm suggesting he'll sabotage the team intentionally after paying so much money. My main concern with him "dipping his fingers into the pie" was to compare him to Jerry Jones.

You can make a reasonable post expressing your opinion and there's always going to be one guy who tries to put words in your mouth.

I am honestly surprised that Vinod would go to a division rival since Vinod is part owner of the 49ers but congratulations to Vinod and I hope he will become a great owner for the Seahawks and win more championships to come!

At least it does not seem like the worst case scenario. So far it seems fine but there are risks, for example involving the kid. It’s written everywhere that “the Khosla family” will be the new owner, so the team will be inherited by Neal, and legacy kids can be difficult nepo babies. But we will see. All good so far and I’m happy to give them a chance.

Hawk Blogger breaks it down and says he thinks this ownership will be good

After listening to Hawk blogger's take I feel alright with this family as it stands now.

Tom Brady was a Patriots deity for 20 years and is now a part owner and all-in with another AFC team. The 49ers thing just isn't a thing.
