I moved from the Midwest to Seattle in 1980, when I was but 31 y/o at the time.

Never... not for even a moment... have I regretted that decision.

This city... this area... all the people... make me proud of who we are.

I love the Seattle area and the PNW in general too.

I however moved away in the 80s.
Settled in Texas, like you I’ve never regretted it.

I can visit my home state anytime I like.
Unlike you I’m nowhere close to proud of what things have become.
Fortunately we still have a few things in common that keep us civil and respectful with one another.
