And why do people care if he went? Seriously, why does it matter? His choice. Doesn't impact any of us.
I suppose you could say the same about Russ seems to me. Yet some of the same people hell bent on hating Russ are defending K9. To me I really don't care, K9 was good at breaking big runs when he wasn't hurt and he did great in the super bowl. Good for him taking advantage of his opportunity to cash in but personally he isn't a guy I'll think of as a big time player for the Hawks.

Reminds me of Geno talking about being disrespected because we didn't offer 50 mill a year. Whatever man.

Why would anyone want to come back to a company that clearly didn't want him and then showed him the way to the exit. Personally, I'd have been pretty sad about it. He's got a SB MVP and a SB ring. Don't understand why there is so many butt hurt members here. There's just nothing about him to dislike,
You and me both.

He helped us win a SB. Good enough.

No lies detected.

So confusing. So we now live in the world where K9 is somehow a prick or a bad dude?
Damn, talk about a MASSIVE stretch. X player leaves, we MUST blast him!!!!

Nah. K9 was cool. He will always be a SB Champion, and a SB MVP. Nothing will ever change that or take that away.

What bothers me is that all he has to do is make a quick public statement as to his reason of not being able to attend (whether it was personal or because the Chiefs had mandatory camp or whatever) and this would've blown over easily.

The fact that he continues to be SILENT on the matter or saying ANYTHING is a very bad look causing many to connect the dots on probably the wrong conclusions....
There’s probably less than 200 people in the world that even noticed that he didn’t show up.

Of those 200, probably half already know exactly why he didn’t show up, despite whatever BS statement he might make to the press.

Probably half of the remainder don’t really care.

If I were him, I wouldn’t take time out of my schedule to make a statement to that few people.

It would be like all those people on Instagram and Tik Tok who say stuff like, “many of my followers have been wondering why…”. No, Carol, nobody was wondering why. Nobody.

Some perspective:

Wonderful combine may not translate into NFL success, three weren't on the same level espcially the 10 yard split. K9's short legs probably fueled the acceleration.

Similarly, college results may not translate into NFL success:

“Clearly didn’t want him”?

How does not being willing to OVER PAY him translate into that?

I have Zero doubt they wanted to keep him, but his price tag was ridiculous.

Come on man, have you no trust in the front office?

Here’s something we all should be able to agree on.

Only time will tell.

Will we suffer or benefit from releasing him?

Will KC benefit or suffer for signing him to that contract.

I wish we could have kept him, I’d be pissed if we paid what KC did.
(We have to many important players to sign)

How do you know it's over pay, how does anyone knows what was offered or discussed. In fact, I haven't heard of anytime that negotiations were being held with him.. I just don't recall hearing anything. I know I'VE READ that K9 wanted to stay and he doesn't seem to be the kind that would shout he wants to be the highest paid RB, in fact, it seems more reasonable to think that he would settle that could be mutually beneficial for both sides.

Is Seattle the only sports town that has such a problem with bad breakups (real or perceived?). We just love to shit on dudes on their way out. I suppose all towns are the same, but still.... I just don't get it.
Honestly I LOVE how they do business, they rip it off like a band-aid, it is exactly what you want in terms of managing resources ie an NFL franchise.

We don't know but we kind of have a good idea of how much based on what KC was willing to give him.

I'm guessing (and this is ONLY A GUESS) that JSN's contract took higher priority and JS probably felt that paying K9 what he (or rather his agent) wanted would put a dent in his efforts to give JSN what he wanted (and JS wanted to get JSN's contract done sooner rather than later).

(sorry...Had to at least respond to this 'cause it's a pretty valid argument from you and I wanted to give you a valid (at least to me) response. lol )
