Solid B, maybe B+

I give it a B+. I would have maybe given it an A, had they drafted a pass rusher in round 6 or 7. But by not drafting a pass rusher, it should make it a lot easier to recruit undrafted rookie free agents DE to our team.

I'm also including Rashid Shaheed as part of the draft class, seeing that we used 2026 draft picks to acquire him.

Yeah, that's kind of what knocks it slightly for me. I'm a big believer in always drafting pass rushers. Even if you're comfortable with the guys you have, draft more. Will be interesting to see if they do much there in the UDFA market. I really like Vincent Anthony Jr, who nobody took.

Trying to not go full homertard here…but, I give this a solid A.

I tried to talk myself out of Price. Positional value, didn’t start at ND.

Call me crazy..but after doing exhaustive research (i.e., one hour of YouTubing), I think we got the best back to come out in the last few years.

Bud Clark…hammer. He fits the Hawk DB mold. Instant impact.

Sleeper CB …Neal. This cat was shutting down SEC WRs left and right. From what I’ve read and seen a bit of, his man coverage needs to tighten up but he’s also the highest rated (total sum wise) zone coverage CB. By a long shot. Welcome to MMs scheme young man. You’re going to shine.

I would give this an A+ but, there’s one area we really need to be looking at FA or trade wise…Edge. We’re gtg for now but, it’s surely something we need to nail down.

You can’t squeeze juice from a rock (they just weren’t available this year). But, I see us taking one pretty early in next years draft.

Thinking it over more, my favorite thing we did in this draft was not select Ty Simpson 13th overall.
Dawg…I can’t stop playing their presser and draft call.

McVay considers this pick a non-fortuitous bust. He’s livid. He’s beyond pissed.

I love it.

P.S. Milroe is going to be All-Pro one day. 😉

I usually look at the draft like this:
1. Did we take positions of need at prime draft positions? -Yes
2. Did we take players at or near their expected range based on "the market"? - Somewhat

I am in the B range because of #2. Yes, some can say the "Trust in JS" line or some such subjective measure but I go off the pundits because they are generally close to where a player gets drafted.

If he switches to Running back, I agree. 🙃

Solid B. Especially considering we only started with 4 picks, and at 32.
Some solid additions. LOVE the Beau Stephens pick. Also, don't forget Sheed.

Considering what JS and MM had to work with ( small amount of picks) I would give them an “A”. I do think the all the players drafted through the first 5 rds will contribute through the season. I have my doubts on the DT drafted in the 7th rd I had never heard of him so I looked up his scouting report it wasn’t glowing. The other 2 players drafted ( WR and CB will probably play on special teams

If you start eith the fact that there Seahawks roster was a SB winning team in '25, the real focus needs to be staying ahead of the playoff teams that are contenders. I don't feel like the 9rs or Rams made up any ground and the AFC was lagging further. There are some teams that had great drafts, but they weren't very close to start.

JS didn't need to manage a high risk/reward draft. He's been in swing-for-the-fences situations in the past but this isn't the same. Hasselbeck said recently that the FA losses are notable, but look at the roster...it's still packed.

As long as there are a couple rookies that can hold their own somewhere on the field, the team can be as good or better than last season. Then it comes down to managing the attitudes of 20something millionaires.

For what it was: maintain the best team in the league, it's a very solid draft.

I would be legitimately surprised if they don't use 2 of their first 3 picks on edge rushers next year.

Price is my least favorite of our first 4 picks, and he's still pretty good pick.

What concerns me is who is going to backup Lawrence? Ivey? Sheriff? If they had a handshake agreement with Fowler beforehand, I have to think his price just went up.

My draft grade.

Prove me wrong with legitimate arguments.

I’d love to be an “A” and will certainly listen.

Focus of this thread is on those that have us below a “B”.

Let’s hear it.

*Side note.

IMHO this wasn’t a very healthy draft class, I’d probably have us higher with a better class.
(Assuming we had better options to choose from)
Grading a draft before any games are played is a fool’s errand. Plenty of people more qualified than me and the Hawks fans in this forum have graded past drafts and been dead wrong. Unless you know the FO’s rationale and intentions for each pick, your grade isn’t worth squat.
