Touch and go there for a while, but pulled it out in the bottom of the 9th. Nice walkoff RBI single from JP to seal the deal. Have I mentioned yet this season how much I like RBI singles?

Munoz struggling, but got the final out with that popup.

Offense puts up another 8 runs, 17 in two games. Still a couple of guys not hitting up to snuff, but nice patience in the 9th, waiting out 3 walks. Don't see that too often.

JP probably halted the Emerson call up a bit by getting on base 4 times tonight.
Another option is have Emerson play 3rd and have Donovan DH.

I think they want to give Emerson 20-30 games at AAA this season before they call him up. He's been on a fast track through the minors. Let him work his way up.

Can he take Castillo with him.. guy throws nothing but puff balls.

No doubt that Castillo has not been pitching well but there have been many times when he was, he wouldn't get run support so his efforts ending up in no decisions or losses after only giving up 3 runs or less. Wilcox doesn't have that to go on. IMO, he shouldn't be on the roster to begin with.

Agreed. Donovan should be the every day DH not Canzone. Canzone, Raley, and Refsynder are all same type of players. Don't need all three on the roster.

Nice to see them take advantage of the Stros while their pitching staff is the MASH unit that it is.

Gilbert in Walter mode, going 7 strong with only 1 run. Leverage arms not needed with Ferrer and Criswell closing it out. Couple of key double plays today, including that last Alvarez to Naylor line out with Altuve caught between the bases. Defense coming around and not as sloppy as last week.

Offense still on track. Loving the patience to draw the walks with some good situational hitting.

Pretty solid game all around.

Fans and media didn't overblow it. Randy overblew by making it a bigger deal than it was. If he had kept his mouth shut no one would have said anything more about it.

Completely disagree. Some fans went full blown drama queen actually stating that they wanted him off the team over it. Some media were suggesting that it was going to be an ongoing problem and fracture the team.

He some stupid shit, for sure, but both Randy and Cal were over it as soon as they both got back to spring training. I don't think Cal ever even cared. It was always a nothing burger.

I think since they have signed him to a long term contact they are not worried about the speed to brining him up. They don't want another JK situation
