no he stinks because he was a back up running back who has 7 tds total and and 1000 yards in 3 years with a long run last year of a whopping 15 yards. id love to be wrong but i highly doubt it. he wasnt signed because they thought he was an answer. he was signed because its was one of the few options left and are looking at any possible option. thats a huge difference

You'll probably just use them in some weird reminiscent fantasies about KWlll still being on the team and what could have been.

I think this RB competition is going to be fierce, healthy and deep with competition. Holani, McIntosh and even Charbs will have no advantage over outside competition and some of that pool hasn't even been signed yet.
When all of the dust settles and weighty decisions are made we will field three solid productive RB's.

Imagine being a still young RB playing for a cap strapped team with a below average offensive line with a QB that can't win with his arm.
Now imagine having been a top talent and huge producer in college but now with your best NFL efforts feeling frustrated and thirsting for more.

We will attract someone who wants to play for a winning franchise to compete for a ring.
We will hopefully lure in more DeMarcus Lawrence types but more than that I trust John's judgement, especially at RB.

So Harris rushed for four straight thousand yard seasons with the Stealers who made the playoffs as a wildcard 3 of those 4 years while the QB carousel of Pickett/Trubisky/RW/Fields was grinding away.

If you don't want him because of the achilles injury early last year with the Chargers fine.
But let's not try to say that a 6-1 240lb workhorse back that practically carried his team to three WC berths "sucked prior to the injury".

There's a lot of folks on here who think taking a look at a player means he's going to be signed. Not the case. They are just doing their due diligence.

It wouldn't hurt to give Najee Harris a shot. He was also splitting time with Jaylen Warren while with the Steelers and still managed to get over 1000 yards rushing. The only season he had less than 1000 yards rushing was last season (short season due to injury).

I really hope we come away with Jadarian Price from this draft, imo.

Getting him would give no small amount of comfort knowing we have an actual RB1 for the next 4 years on a cheap rookie deal.

Mike Washington could also be good if we don't get JP.

But from all indications, neither will be there at #64 so #32 would probably be the only time to go for either.

I do recall seeing an outlier 4-win prediction, just like I remember seeing an outlier 13-win prediction.

I can’t find the article that listed the 4-win prediction, but I do recall Michael Thompson’s Field Gulls season record prediction article where he mentions it. (He had us at 12 wins, with the Rams falling off a cliff and the Niners taking the division)

I’ve seen everything from 4-13 to 13-4, it truly is that wide between the believers and those that clamor for Geno Smith and DK Metcalf.

Being said, the general consensus was clustered around the line, which was 8.5 wins.
