He is slow but a power back. He makes smart choices to get the yards needed. 4.0 yards per carry and (outside of last year when he was injured) he does nothing but put up 1000+ yard seasons.

Flashy? No. Does he get the job done? Yes.

If he is better than the worst RB on the final roster, sign him.

I like Harris a lot, even with a lot of miles on his 28 year old body. They say his rehab is ahead of schedule and going well and he has a mindset you can't buy. John will turn over every stone.

Throw enough talented bodies on the pile and it would likely be counter productive to burn a pick on a RB in 26'. 5'10" 230 and 6'1" 240 RB's with YAC is were I start getting excited.
Maybe some in here are right to think Charb's return might be later than hoped?

Never been a Najee Harris fan. That being said, he ran behind a mediocre line in Pittsburgh and still managed to get 1,000 yards every season.

With his ACL injury happening last September, not sure when he's going to be 100 percent.

Well ML24 likes him and I'm thinking Kubiak & the Raiders take a chance on him.

I’ll say it again, I would love to see Seahawks to take a flyer on Austin Eckler. They already have two big running backs and don’t need a third.

Oof.

Please tell me that injured cast offs aren't the best that we can do.

"In JS we trust" - but FFS we need someone at least decent at the RB position. I'm like if we end up with an over the hill RB and/or injury prone....... wtf.

Although as I type this, I can't help but notice that ALL the focus has been on the pass game side of the O, with the exception of the Bobo signing and the OC.

I was really hoping for a more balanced approach. Particularly if we have a non Grubb TE/RB OC that we do, and I'm looking to ground and pound.

Not feeling 100% about this - but perhaps it's all chaff as a prelude and misdirection in the draft...... who knows.

I believe our passing game is based off of our running game.. specifically the Play action pass. I don't see defenders worried about the run game any longer, they will just pin their happy ears back and rush the QB,

Well I think Fleury, our new RB(s) and our OLine will have something to say about that. Of all positions on both sides of the ball, RB is one of the easier spots to replace and yes even a 1k rusher.
I know some of you are still butthurt that John didn't try to match KC's offer, but he played a good hand. Told him 12, got 14 & gone.

What we may lose in intermittent breakout splash plays we will gain in more 2nd & 5, 3rd & short, staying ahead of the sticks game. Better field position, TOP, longer sustained drives, less FG's more TD's.

The last thing Fleury needs is to have to dail up 3rd & longs early in his first season.
Give this new offense a chance, I think this coming training camp and preseason will be very interesting and yield great results.

hope your right. Cause you know, KC had those dime a dozen runners and it worked so poorly they over paid for Walker.

We will see how K9 does facing the Bronco's & Chargers defenses four times a year. I'll be surprised if Walkers added production helps raise them from 3rd place in the division.
Regardless of what anyone thinks now, both sides of the equation will be on full display and thats what makes it interesting.
Responsibly balancing the salary cap requires making some tough choices and I think John did well in ways not seen yet.
We may need a rookie CB to play some meaningful minutes and the RB questions but I'm happy we kept Shaheed and John's not finished building.

Location
In the basement at the Alamo.
I am so done with injured players so so don't add one please.

Need to trade for Pollard on the Titans. He would be a perfect fit and NOT coming in with recent injuries.

Mixed signals - RBs are "a dime a dozen and any would work" AND "we need a great RB as its so important for the offense."
They're just checking to see how he's recovering. I'd say the soonest they'd even consider taking him on would be late into the season and they're decimated with injuries in the backfield.
