Similar to K9, there's no shot JS was paying that for him. He was a good FS but Mike's scheme doesn't ask much out of the position. Mostly 2 deep shell coverages meant to disguise starting deep and drop into the "hook-curl" zone or start near the line and get to the deep half after the snap. Basically don't get beat deep. Emmanwori, Love and Witherspoon are much more critical players in the secondary rotating responsibilities.

Bryant was good but not irreplaceable. Ty Okada did well when given opportunities.

No , losing key players and coaches come with the territory when you're winning .

It's silly. I wanted C Bryant to stay but if Chicago wants to pay him more I can't blame him for taking the money

Yeah - I think we will reload with some new talent in the draft. I liked Bryant’s instincts and what he did for us in the back end - but the emergence of Okada and Emmanwori this year made me not question this staff or JS one bit. I’m sure we have a plan in place.

Meanwhile the Rams are dropping almost $200M deals for 2 corners in the off-season in McDuffie and now Watson. You think they’re freaking out about covering JSN for the next decade? Ha!
