Draft class overall speed

For being called a bad draft class, so far after 4 position groups running the 40. All 4 are the fastest groups ever at the combine.

Right. Though it is being said 2026 will be a "weak" draft, some teams are still going to get some damn good players.

I don’t think it’s near as bad as people have said it is. It just doesn’t have any great QBs, so people will automatically dismiss it.

Mendoza might be great, but I’d have a hard time passing on Reese instead. Guy is going to be a monster at LB. Plus the first round is going to have 7-8 DE picked this year. There is some crazy amount of edges this year.

We’ll see. Workout warriors are a thing (eg Mike Mamula) and it doesn’t always translate to football.

Also there are just big time position groups that seem overall lacking in both elite prototypical blue chip prospects in general or legitimate depth: QB, WR, OT, TE, DL. Not a lot to be desired after 1-2 rounds.

But if you need RB, IOL, LBers, and DBs this is probably going to be a solid class for you and you'll still get some decent players further into the draft.

I think just a lot of people feel that the draft will fall off a cliff around the 4th- 5th round. That its more quality than quantity but the quality might be more relevant to lesser positions.

I think I’ve seen there could be 8 pass rushing DE taken in the first round. Seems like a pretty solid group as well.

Well the ones calling it a bad draft class, are the ones that see very few top tier QB's in the top 2 rounds... so it must be a bad class... Can't be any worse than the year we took the preacher, now that was a bad bad class.
