Hawkblogger has a segment on Fleury thats ptetty insightful. Everyone who is panicking should watch it.

Sorry if its already been posted

"He's big on all the details, on every single play. ... He knows everything that's going on on the offense."
- Kittle on Fleury

Definitely qualities a successful OC needs to have. Looking forward to seeing how the guy sets up game plans.

We can not play Pete ball, we need to score and control the ball passing or running, we are in the NFC West, also the NFC has become a pretty good offensive conference now. Defense and offense, 49ers were very prolific also, I don't think Mac wants a nail biter week to week.

It doesn't matter how many points the offense puts up as long as it is more than their opponent. They can win 2-0 for all I care because you don't get extra credit for putting up bigger numbers. Just keep winning.
Yes but we have opponents that average almost 30 a game in our division, we may limit that with our defense, but then again the Rams seem to have a knack for pushing that bounadry, we need to be able to explose on offense if necessary as well.

The Rams averaged 28 points per game against our Defense last season.

Our offense will need to score more than that. Can't rely on their bad special teams to give us easy points again.

I don’t disagree with you but, depending on when the safety comes, you could have multiple heart attacks.

They beat the Rams in the NFCCG without any easy special team points. I have confidence that the Seahawks will score enough points as needed to beat their opponents. Whether it's 30 or not.

Yeah, in the grand scheme of things, you're correct. That said, it's completely rational and normal to want (expect, even) your playcaller to be able to draw up a successful game against the better teams in the league, win/lose/draw.

Fumble recovery from muffed punt return, giving us easy points.

I bet Darnold had a say in this, too. No way he wasn't asked about him.
Agreed . I think I might've said as much . One point I'd like to make is (this is difficult to say) Shananhan doesn't have crappy coaches. I'm sure he's qualified and ready for his shot at OC

That's right...I forgot about the muffed punt. Rams led in that game for less than 2 minutes total.
Most of the staff seems to be staying and it sounds like Brian Fleury has his head in the right place. Plus, Jay Harbaugh isn't leaving so I expect the special teams to be solid again next season.

I can't sell you but I'll say that MM and JS don't **** around ese. They've earned some trust
Damn straight. I have all the trust in the world for them, as they've done nothing but hit homeruns and grandslams together. I was just looking for the scheme upgrade(s) and whatnot from those in the know.

I like "pocket awareness" for one of Stern's focuses. Sam could get batter at that to avoid some of those fumbles we saw last year in the regular season.
