Top 12 cap space

Titans 104M
Raiders 91M
Chargers 83M
Jets 83M
Commanders 75M
Seahawks 72M
Bengals 54M
Rams 48M
Steelers 44M
49ers 42M
Cardinals 42M
Patriots 41M

One of the AFC teams above us would work but I'm actually hoping it's the Rams.
The other side of the coin is number of free agents. Ex) Wash has cap space, but a ton of free agents. Hawks are near the bottom for free agents.Screenshot 2026 02 14 80658 AM

That's a good point. Ring and big $$ may not be positive motivation.
No way it will be “positive motivation”.

It’s like rewarding bad behavior.

Having said that, Woolen may experience something that flips the switch, and become the dream player his potential suggests.

It’s a gamble.

IMHO, it’s not a gamble worth taking when you consider the $ he’s going to be looking for.

My campaign started in GameDay chat the minute I saw his crap in the Rams game.
Penalty and almost immediately getting burnt for 6.

IMO, he’s a liability.

Woolen's taunting penalty could have easily handed the Lombardi trophy to the Rams. I'm all for 2nd chances but that sideline scene with Nick giving him a heads up & Riq's reaction set things in stone for me.

It's just not worth the risk, extra $ and isn't critical to the teams success. This is not about players getting paid and making it to the 2nd level. This is about managing the cap to keep this little dynasty going to reward the 12's for their long suffering dedication & love for this team.
Luckily we have just the GM to do that.

I just read somewhere the 49ers are taking a $25 million dead cap hit
for voided contracts, their space is at about $25 million.

Exactly, that's why I don't understand people getting upset over players not taking "team friendly" deals . They don't have to rationalize nor do they owe us anything.
Agreed!! By no means are most players hurting money wise but, who wouldn’t want to maximize their earnings?

I don’t like losing players but, the balance is a key strategic factor that all teams have to consider .

Takes team like Cincy. Ownership listened to the fans…their defense was ripped apart (never really that good in the first place).

To have Burrow, Chase, Higgins….fan favorites, they have to score 78 points a game to win.

Nah…I’m more than ok with Riq leaving. Appreciate him. But, I’d be sick to my stomach if we paid more than $10M…which he’s likely going to get way more than.

I completely agree. Riq has had too many motivational problems in the past, and if you give him a big safety net in the form of a fat contract, he loses his incentive to excel, or at least that's the fear. He needs to be 'hungry', needs to feel as if he has to prove himself.

I also get the sense that he's seen the writing on the wall as he's not giving any signals about wanting to return like some of the other guys, ie Walker and Bryant.

We have two other DB's, Bryant and Jobe, who are UFA's. Losing Riq is going to make it imperative that we bring those guys back.

Riq posted this hours ago.

For those of you unfamiliar with the gif, its the final scene from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air as Will Smiths character left the Bel-air mansion for the final time in the season finale.

And this is the actual scene that happens next, courtesy of the Seahawks :
