After Pete took us to two straight appearances we became stagnant

Why

Everyone wanted to get paid

Stretched your resources to thin trying to keep our core players.

The same thing will happen again, if we play our cards right, we may be contenders for another year or two before it all catches up with us. Then we will be stagnant again, trying to keep it going,

Just the vicious cycle of the NFL
We're actually in much better shape this time. We had already traded future firsts and didn't have enough cap space to keep everyone, and we had more stars on rookie deals about to get paid.
Schneider still needs to be conservative with cap in order to keep our most important players, but we're still in better shape.

Been worried about his mental / maturity for a few years now. Celebrating the normal play like it was superhuman and taunting penalties multiple times this year.
Add a Super Bowl ring and big money contract and what can you expect? Improved behavior? Doubtful.
Athletic ability and Talent = Million dollars. Commom Sense = 10 cents

That's a good point. Ring and big $$ may not be positive motivation.

I was thinking about this and don't know if it's been mentioned, but I'm sure that agent of his is going to be all for his client to leave for more money . He don't give AF.

More commission

I thank him for his service. If he goes to a division rival though, I hope Charbs or Ouzts trucks him on an outside run early in the games and we’ll see how well his 4.3 speed holds up.
This might be best case scenario; a division rival. Poor use of cap. MMac can scheme him onto an island v JSN. Then the bench can taunt him into an extra 15.

We don't have Pete making moves over John this time, that is
one big plus alone.

Top 12 cap space

Titans 104M
Raiders 91M
Chargers 83M
Jets 83M
Commanders 75M
Seahawks 72M
Bengals 54M
Rams 48M
Steelers 44M
49ers 42M
Cardinals 42M
Patriots 41M

One of the AFC teams above us would work but I'm actually hoping it's the Rams.

This.

I wouldn’t blame Riq…leaving with a chip.

Most anyone would go for the $$$.

My heartburn with Woolen is that he can't seem to play 60 minutes of football. He always gets sloppy in the 4th quarter and lets the opposing team back in the game.

I don't trust him, and if this was his "best effort for the big contract year" self, I trust his "guaranteed money already got paid" self even less. I would let him test the market and try to show enough interest to drive his price up. Getting a 4th round comp pick for a 5th round pick would be pretty sweet.

Woolen was Jobe's backup anyway. I'd be more worried about re-signing him.

I have already said I wouldn't mind getting Woolen back. I wouldn't get into a bidding war over him, though.
Woolen is going to cost this team a huge game if he is brought back.

We were LUCKY AS FK that Sam balled out in that NFCCG.

But next time, we may not be as fortunate if Woolen pulls the same s--t.

I don't think he's worth the potential headache and soul-crushing season-ending penalties in the long run.

I will only say "God help the team that signs him to a bloated contract".

JS will tell him, if he hasn't already, this is what we are comfortable with. Take it or go look around and it's there if you want it. My guess would be around $16-18 million tops.

He's good when he's not making bonehead plays. Would really love for us to draft Cisse from SC instead and then re-sign Jobe, let Woolen walk.

All it takes is one bonehead play to lose a game and mess your season up.

Rams need DB help badly, especially at corner. Plucking from a division rival's squad has appeal, altho they saw first hand what his mental health status is.

It was a joke...maybe YOU need a chill pill.

Obviously , Indyhawk got it
Oh so because Indyhawk (one person) gave you an emoji-like, that makes it okay? :ROFLMAO:

Dude, that picture is akin to wishing death on someone.

I wouldn't put that image up ever even if Woolen had blown it for us in the NFCCG.

Now I would've wanted to kick the living shit out of him but never what that image implies.

I don't care how shitty a player has played or what he's done on the field.

At the end of the day, it's just a football game.

It's not that serious.

So yeah....relax. Take it easy.
