Was it too easy?

Winning this Super Bowl feels different. Not like less exciting or magnificent, but like how could it already be done? That was it? It’s like I was waiting for it to reach the pinnacle of intensity but it never did, we just wooped another team like it was a Sunday afternoon and now it’s like, who’s next? Anybody?

Will we ever lose again? Mikes not even 40! We could literally go undefeated for the next 20 years…. They will have to change the name of the Lombardi to The Mike.

I'm sure someone else said the same thing for Andy Reid...a strange turn of events can unravel a season rather quickly. Not trying to be negative..just realistic. But Mikes potential for repeating a super bowl win is highly possible.
Yeah, I have expectations of repeating. Honestly.

Many of the players have said the same thing too. They were ready for another one and didn’t want this season to end.

It was a season where I kept thinking. Hmm, we aren’t supposed to win a SB this year, but man when we don’t beat ourselves we can play with and beat, even dominate, almost anyone. And most teams just seem to be struggling this year. So much parity.

Hmm, I wonder? Maybe we put it all together and win the whole stinking thing this year? It’s really anyone’s to win. Then as the year progressed it really looked like it was the Rams and us vs. the world. You never know but sure enough. We made it almost look easy. Now I am just really enjoying it.

Next year I’ll go into it expecting to win it or get back and that’s fun too. Who knows? But man it’s so cool to get one during a year when no one was picking us, shocked the world!

It's onlyl as good as to how much we have to pay our QB.

If I'm JS, I strongly consider extending Darnold right now.

Sam not having a Superbowl MVP performance in the SB kind of helped keep his price down, imo, so instead of waiting another year and Sam potentially blowing up (he could with another season here) and costing him more, it would be beneficial if he can hammer out a reasonable (and lengthy) extension.

But I'm not JS and in JS I trust for him to do what is necessary.

Agreed.

I’ll say this tho…if they don’t do this, this year or the next, expect big things from Milroe.

I know…I know bro….I’m way happy with Sam. I just have a feeling about this kid. Even if that means backing up Sammy D for the next 5 years.

Wow!

Some folks are never happy, winning the Super Bowl doesn’t feel as good as the poster expected. Holy Moly???

If the Hawks had won 31-13, or 45-13 would that have been better? Would you have preferred an offensive shootout instead of a smothering defensive domination.

The game was over when the Hawks got points on their first drive. In fact the real championship was 2 weeks before in beating the Rams.

The team beat a good Patriots team by 16 points, that was pretty solid as the Pats really weren’t allowed to do much by the Hawks D.

If anyone thought the game would be another 43-8 wipeout like XLVIII they were truly discounting the reality the Pats did have a good D.

Enjoy the reality your team has just demonstrated they are the best in the league this year, and they got the hardware, T-shirt and hat. Winning the SB is always special for any team.

Stop me if you've heard this one already, but the Super Bowl was a letdown for me. I went straight into postseason mode after we won the NFCCG. I just never had a doubt about the Bowl.

It was a lot like the second half of a game where you are up by 4 scores. Sure, it's possible for the other team to come back, but highly unlikely, and you just want to get the game over with.

I am so stoked, and looking forward to seeing how they navigate the offseason, in a way I haven't been in years.

I will refrain from telling you how trash your comprehension skills are and just reiterate that, as I stated, it doesn't feel as good as I expected. I'm 1000% "happy" that we won the trophy.

It was anti-climactic. We played a 3-game playoff against the Rams to decide who was the best team in the NFL and who was 2nd best, and we were the best, so we only had to beat lesser teams to win the Lombardi. They really did make it look easy.

A repeat depends on the health of the team honestly. We lost 3 games this year, and only one was at full strength.

The reason for the letdown feeling was because the Patriots had no right whatsoever to be in a Super Bowl. They weren’t a very good team and were probably one of the least deserving in a very long time. Wasn’t anything Seattle did but rather the lack of any real competition from the AFC.

I didn’t say it didn’t feel as good as I expected. I didn’t mean that. I meant it feels like it was supposed to be harder. I’m actually really stoked. We were so great that it just seemed unbelievable
