Ever since Jody took over as the leader of the Seahawks with her team from Vulcan I have heard a lot of flack about her not being involved, not caring, not being active enough.

These last two seasons has shown me she was everything but, much like Paul she didn't need to be Jerry and in the public eye, she didn't have the desire to meddle in the football operations, she did want to learn and become as experienced as one could. Her decisions have been solid as far as I am concerned with her team. Let Pete go, kept John, trusted him to perform his job and it appears John, Mike, and Jody all work in conjunction with each other based on weekly meetings that came out.

The enthusiasm in which she raised the 12 flag told me just about everything I needed, she is a fan and an owner, proud to be so.

Now her and Vulcan being our corporate warriors, someone leaking the false story of us being sold after the Superbowl, then another about her ownership group being Fined 5 million for not selling fast enough by the NFL. Both times her team along with the NFL have debunked them almost immediately, ESPN Florio, ESPN, two outlets that historically have been anti Seahawks even if they say they are not, we read and see the imbalance.

Who is putting these stories out, we can only guess, but funny they wait till we are trying to enjoy our moments to make an attempt to sully the moment, put something out that in many fan bases would piss them off or smear our ownership and front office.

Not waiting and attacking the false stories our ownership group has went after these stories to give a firsthand denial, not thru third and fourth parties.

Again Thank you Jody and Vulcan for showing the rest of the league what a class act Organization is like.

I’m not sure about any conspiracy around the announcement of the possibility of a sale.
I do feel sure that the Seahawks have been nationally relevant and committed to winning since Paul bought the team. Jody has allowed the team to succeed again by aligning the football operations with ownership. She shrewdly chose the right people every time a choice had to be made. I trust that she cares as much as anybody about the future legacy of this franchise.
Just because the team is for sale, doesn’t mean it’s going to sell to the highest bidder or the easiest transaction.
I expect this to be handled well and the future of the relationship between the team and the city to be a major factor in choosing who to sell to. Go Seahawks ! Thank you Allen family 🥰
LET’S GET THIS WIN!!!!!!!!!

Your keyboard to god's monitor. Given the various owners around the league, I think Jody has done well. It's great that she doesn't make anything about her. When she shows up in public it's all about the team.

I support your expectation/hope that they choose well who they sell to. Don't want some techbro billionaire buying our team as some kind of vanity project.

I was a bit wary of Jody and our ownership situation in the years following PA's death. I knew that the team was going to have to be put up for sale, and I wondered if she and her group were committed and experienced enough to make the right moves when it became necessary to do so. I had no idea when the team was going to be put up for sale; we were all kept in the dark about that.

Remember, PA died in October, 2018. I was just starting to become wary about PC and the direction of the team at that point. This was the time that a certain mediocrity was starting to set in, though it was disguised by some good regular season records in 2019 and especially 2020. It seemed that PC was refusing to take a step back in an effort to more strongly rebuild the roster, and we kept on resigning marginal players that took up CAP space, and we traded for Jamal Adams in the summer of 2020. They were moves that for me and others kept the team in kind of a state of purgatory, with positive Pete trying to make us believe that we were *this* close to competing for a championship.

Jody resigned PC in the fall of 2020 to a multi year contract. My thinking at the time was that she knew that the sale of the team was coming, and by resigning PC she was latching onto the stability that he provided until such a time came. Then real mediocrity set in the following three seasons.

I was still wary of ownership during this time, was up in the air about the fate of the franchise as a fan. But things started happening behind the scenes, and it seemed that JS was increasingly getting more of the attention of Jody's ear. Personnel moves started getting better, RW was jettisoned off for a draft haul, and overall it seemed that a new power dynamic was starting emerge within the organization. This became clear when PC was fired after the 2023 season.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that our current success and the role Jody and her group played in it was something that slowly evolved behind the scenes (somewhat surprisingly) against the backdrop of uncertainty of when the team was going to be put up for sale, how long was Jody's ownership was going to be extended, and how committed they really were to making the changes to improve the team in the interim.

In retrospect, it certainly turned out great for us fans, and Jody and the ownership group proved to be adept stewards of the franchise. But it certainly wasn't so clear that it would turn out for the best in the immediate intervening years after PA died.

She didn't just want to be a Steward of transistion, she wanted to learn, it took some time, she had Vulcan people helping her and John and Pete as well. We were the impatient ones, justifiably worried, but impatient.

But nobody KNEW when the team was going to be put up for sale, and how committed the ownership was in making the necessary changes to make the team a true contender again. I think it was a perfectly reasonable assumption to make that when Jody resigned PC to a multiyear contract in 2020 she was just latching onto the stability he provided until the team was sold.

Because we were not patient enough to let things come out before jumping to conclusions, after Paul died there was a time of non information as they got their ducks in a row, they then laid out the hiarchy and what they wanted to do, Jody at that time said she wanted to maintain Pauls commitment and wanted to learn the operations leaning on Vulcan and John and Pete.

You're using the word patience as if where we ended up was some sort of preordained certainty, that they knew exactly what they were doing, and their plan logically unfolded just as they had foreseen, that there was no reason at all for having doubts or concerns along the way by us fans, and that we'd all have been better off putting all our questions and skepticisms aside and assume a trusting and patient state of mind.

But that's not how things work. There's always a lot of uncertainty involved in such endeavors. Unexpected situations arise, adjustments in thought and strategy often need be employed, numerous difficult decisions must be made, and, yes, there's a lot of luck involved as well.

It went well for us. But where we ended up was far from a certain outcome.

Jodi : 'hold my calls, I need to read this "

So it appears you want every thing spelled out with a Gaurantee ahead of time to be happy, I trusted Paul would do a soft hand off, I read the back ground and how they came together and discussed the Seahawks before Paul bought them. I had plenty to work from to understand what was happening. That and the fact the Vulcan group were placemarkers until she was up to speed helping guide along with the football people.

Faith and a little homework.

Same with Ken Behring, he was poisen from day one, too much of I want to be Al Davis, except he was Football stupid and just wanted a toy.

Involved exactly the right amount…set the organizational goals, listens to JS, removes barriers, then lets the pros do their job.

Super impressed!!!!
