Patriots trying to create fake news drama! They’re scared sh*tless so they do this to try and throw us off our game.

Ok, PM me with one NFL owner you think does not care if the team wins or not.
Mike Brown. I think they'd all LIKE to win, because it helps the value of their product, but you're insane if you think they're going to spend, spend, spend and make less money in the process. These guys aren't spending their own money for upgrades. Look at what David Tepper has been doing. Look at the Dallas Mavericks.

Ballmer is running his other team into the ground. They might have the bleakest future in their league.

I don’t disagree. He also has proven to be a very hands on owner. I really want the closest thing we can find to a heavily invested, but hands-off owner - we’ve been so fortunate with the Allen era. Put this operation in Schneider’s control and let the man have control. Stay away.

In a perfect world Bezos finances and would prove to be this kind of owner but no one really knows.

I’m aware.

Still sucks (IMO) that the news came out today.

No way it’s not at least a minor distraction.

Which is why it sucks ot came out today but since it’s not for sale I imagine there will be a lot of talk about it but I don’t think it will keep the players from focusing on the next game.

What do you think Bezos' finances are going to do for the team that the finances of an owner worth "only" 100B isn't going to do? Bezos can't outspend the salary cap. His history sure doesn't indicate that he's going to foot the bill himself on anything he can get taxpayer money for. He's all about increasing his net worth. I don't want that kind of owner. Does he even care about football?

Analytics and facilities would be my hope. Extra coaches. You still need upfront cash to get players as well not just cap space which is why the Raiders and Bengals struggle at points.

Considering what just came out about Kraft (Epstein list stuff) this might be a blip on the news radar.

SO, it's not for sale. Good.

Somebody's getting punked. Over zealous tweeters.

No. Freaking out.

Anyone who can buy a football team can afford those things. By and large, they're not spending their own money on them.

If one of these top of the Forbes List guys buys the team, I hope they are able to find some edge im unaware of, but I have a difficult time not being skeptical of the guys like Bezos who show no compunction with bleeding things dry and only seem to care about the glorification of their own egos.

Yeah this has no bearing on the cap or roster management - I’m talking about capital expenditures to grow the brand off the field, state of the art facilities, resources, marketing, player development, etc.

No one really knows how Bezos would operate - it’s all assumption. I’m simply connecting dots in that it has been rumored for awhile he is interested in NFL ownership… and it just so happens this will be one of the more desirable franchises to own, he has ties to the area, and it’s the first name that jumps out to me.

Sell high, why not? I mean Jodi was kind of placeholder, inherited it anyway so just a matter of time. LA has their teams again, so where would you move to?
