I'm over it, especially considering how he was disciplined.
That's cool. Thanks for posting. MM/JS don't mess around when it comes to team culture.Apparently, some of us that can't chill out and get the F*** over it aren't the only ones that feel that a simple apology isn't enough:
According to team sources, Seattle issued Woolen an internal fine equivalent to one playoff game check, a punishment handled entirely within the organization and separate from any league discipline.
The fine was paired with a mandatory closed-door address, where Woolen spoke directly to the defensive unit, accepting responsibility and emphasizing the importance of composure in high-leverage moments.
The discipline was not intended as a reactionary measure, but as a preventative one.
With a Super Bowl matchup against the New England Patriots looming, Seattle’s leadership wanted to send a clear message to the entire roster that emotional penalties will not be tolerated on the league’s biggest stage.
Coaches stressed that while accountability is respected, actions must follow words when championship stakes are involved.
The problem with the 'if' part is that he's been given a lot of opportunities. My worry would be that given his past attitude that he could turn into another Quandre Diggs where once he got paid, his laziness returned.Let's hope he goes back to calling himself Tariq Woolen again b/c Riq Woolen reeked of attitude lazy play, and selfishness.
BTW I'm good with whatever the team decides as far as his future with the team. Perhaps this was learning moment for him.
This player if he were to get his head on straight could be a top level CB, presently it's hard to say he is now.
I agree about Riq, man.We won't have to find out, because he won't be back next year. There's almost no chance he does it in the SB. Good enough.
But this is who he is, there's a difference between passionate and selfish.
We all have a right to feel how we want about this. We're not required to feel a certain way. He almost cos the Hawks a SB, period. That's not just something that you throw under the rug. He has a history of this. He was warned by the refs. It was incredibly selfish.
I don't care if I sound like I'm being unreasonable with the guy. Or that I should "get over it"
No, I'm pissed off and will continue to be until I see him ball out and go an entire SB w/out being an idiot. Nobody gets to tell me or anyone else how to feel about this. I don't have to agree, just like nobody has to agree with how I feel about this. VERY glad he was disciplined though.
I do think that your scenario is the most likely, but I wouldn't be so sure about it. There is no doubt that Woolen has all the physical tools necessary to be a great shutdown corner. Maybe he suddenly sees the light. But I'm not holding my breath. We won't have to find out, because he won't be back next year. There's almost no chance he does it in the SB. Good enough.

I'll say it one last time. WALK AWAY. It's that simple.
Drake Maye is def. not a fraud. He's pretty damn good.
He's the DK MetCalf of the Secondary, imo.I do think that your scenario is the most likely, but I wouldn't be so sure about it. There is no doubt that Woolen has all the physical tools necessary to be a great shutdown corner. Maybe he suddenly sees the light. But I'm not holding my breath.
It IS ok to give credit to an upcoming opponent. He's a pretty damn good QB. Denial won't change that.Disagree.
If he was in the NFC, I don't think he would be having the same type of success he's had.
He took advantage of a pretty weak AFC this year.
Both things can be true.Disagree.

Where did I say that?No way man, you said he's the worst QB in the league
/sarcasm
Questioning whether he'd have the same success in the NFC than in the AFC isn't equal to saying "Drake isn't good".I liken your statement to those that claim Sam isn’t good.
