Yep. Our best receiver was the ground.

And Patriots fans must be smokin crack if they think that just because they beat us 10-7 with our backup qb who hasn’t started a game in 2+ years that their guaranteed to beat the Seahawks in sb 60
Thanks for coming in and sharing the wisdom.

Against the Pats, my guess is we employ more than the usual blitz packages.

Actually it was 3 in a row. The Whiners for the division, The Whiners for the Divisional and then The Lambs for the NFC title. We are super battle tested.
Thanks for the correction!!!

And…true dat!!!

And wtf is so funny, @BASF ?

You gave me a laugh emoji for my comment.

Please stand up and tell the rest of the class what is so humorous about my comment?
Certainly. It can be stated pretty easily that we are the most remembered Super Bowl losers for the "Just give the ball to Marshawn" in Super Bowl 49 and the "The Seahawks were screwed by the refs" in Super Bowl 40. For more than a decade after each game I would get comments from fans coming up to me when I was out in a jersey since I don't live in Seattle where most of the fans are insulated from these interactions. In some cases you are right, but stating it on a Seahawks forum is humorous.

Oh. You're referring to "that".

My apologies to all here if I helped bring back that awful memory. 😬

From what I understand, it was supposed to be a running play but Russ went into business for himself and changed it to a pass play.

I don't think Darnold will do that if we end up in a similar situation in the SB.

Several years ago, I went to a Seahawks vs. Steelers road game, a game of which we won BTW. Of course, I was wearing my colors, and in a nearby pub after the game, several Steeler fans teased me about the common Seahawk narrative that XL was rightfully ours but stolen. Oddly enough, I do not blame the entirety of our loss in that game on the refs like so many of my friends do, so it didn't irritate me as it would someone who held a different belief. So what you're saying is absolutely believable.

Perhaps beating the Pats and doing it with an exclamation point will bury those demons.

That would be incorrect information. Carroll called for a pass. Bevell choose the stupidest one that he could.

Then I stand corrected.

Bevell can burn in the hottest parts of hell then.

Hopefully, Kubiak won't be that stupid.

I think you underestimate their D. Their run defense is really good.
Thats how you got you're name.

So too do the New England Patriots have a complete defense, emblematic of head coach Mike Vrabel’s hard-nosed personality. New England ranked 4th for fewest points allowed per game, 8th for fewest yards permitted, 6th for rushing yards permitted, 9th for passing yards permitted, and 10th for turnovers. Areas of concern for New England include its red-zone defense and an inconsistent pass rush.

I stole that from a betting site. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem...

Hot Take :

I'm going to say that in 2 weeks we will find that their run defense isn't as good as people would think.

All it would take is K9 juking them out of their cleats and going for huge yardage and there goes their "really good" run D.

Besides, even if they do slow K9 down, Sam can just throw it to K9 and he will be in the open field ready to make fools out of the Pats linebackers and secondary.

Not sweating that run D at all when it can be mitigated easily.

I hope so, it's not like I'm rooting against us blowing the socks off the Pats. I just doubt that will happen.

PFF don’t take into account the strength of schedule. And after this game bs the rams the abysmal grade they had Darnold shows they’re absolutely dog shit.
I'm not going to get into a debate on the accuracy of PFF as everyone has a different opinion, suffice it to say it's widely used and I feel directionally accurate, not specifically accurate.

The only reason Darnold's PFF score for the NFCCG was 67.4 was because he took 3 sacks for -25 yards. His passing grade from PFF was 72 which is very good. Conversely, Stafford scored 81.1 in the same game because he only took one sack for -9 yards. His passing score was slightly better than Darnold's at 79.5. When you look at the stat lines Darnold was 25/36 for 346 and Stafford was 22/35 for 374, Stafford was slightly better as a passer and took fewer sack yards.

I would argue that Darnold's stat line is more impressive considering the Seahawks OLine compared to the Rams. PFF doesn't factor OLine performance into a QB's grade because OLine performance goes to the OLine. Strength of schedule is also not part, nor should it be part, of a QB grading system.
