Is Woolen 'dirty'?
Is taunting 'dirty'?

You must have hated Browner then. He WAS dirty. But not to injure, just loved to fight people. And man, I loved that dude. He was also good for 1-3 penalties per game. But God it was worth it. (You could easily argue that losing Browner was one of the biggest reasons we lost that SB). I miss that dude and I don't care how many people he killed or didn't kill.

Woolen is more a talker than a fighter. I've never once seen him try to injure or hurt an opposing player. Has he ever even punched an opponent? (Myles Garrett swung a helment at a QB...and I love watching that dude too. Would LOVE to magically get him on the Seahawks)

Woolen is mouthy. And honestly, he has been through a lot. Used to make a ton of mistakes. Was mercilessly ripped here and by his coaches. Somehow put it together (this year!) and became our best corner. But he still yaps like a little dog too much. If that is the cost of his play? Might be worth it. MM knows how good he is. Know how? MM kept putting him on Puka...even in man. (Yes, he immediately gave up that TD...but you could argue the coaches failed him there. Also Puka has burned enough corners this is not an indictment). The rest of his play was key to keeping the Rams from coming back.
Didn’t say he was dirty, and depends if taunting is dirty. Depends on what is said/done.

I’m on the get rid of Woolen train because he can’t seem to control his emotions, he’s not playing smart football, nor is he old or his Brother.
He doesn’t understand how his PERSONAL desire to show boat can hurt his team.
That incident yesterday had potential to change the outcome of the game.
Then because shit got in his head, he gave up a TD that was fairly easy to defend.

I know he has above average skills, but he is a liability at the level the Hawks are playing at.

I like woolen, I don’t mind him owning up for it either. But damn some of yall need to chill tf dude apologized get the F- over it. Move on, focus on NE and the superbowl instead.
I’m completely over it but I’m not changing my stance.

I hope we find a replacement, and let him be another team’s liability.

Ran across this, not sure how valid it is. Anybody else here anything about this?

Either way this dude is a knucklehead who will probably never get it. Couldn't care less about his apology, hopefully he's sent packing in the off season.

Buh Bye.

Between jogging it in and generally being an attitude problem -

Ship him out. We're stuck with him ATM and I have no idea who to replace him with -

But the slackass with an attitude needs to be shipped out.

Lost me at the name change he did.

Woolen intentionly shook McVays hand right after the game. He defensed passes. Woolen stays.

Ya think it was a replay of #29 and the Cowboys?

Do we have any audio clips of what was said?
Yes. No but he was trying real hard. McVay barely acknowledged him. Other things on his mind like the lost season. You wanna put quandre or Griffen in there? They would just get burned but PC about it.

Glad he apologized, but it doesn't change one fact: there is NO excuse for not just walking away.
At least he acknowledged it. Now do something about it, ball out in the SB. And please please please.........CELEBRATE WITH YOUR TEAMMATES

Am I over it, kind of I guess. However, not changing my mind on him or how I feel about him being a Hawk after this season. This is a pattern with him, not a one-time thing. Refs gave him a warning, he didn't care. At that moment, AGAIN, he made it about HIM. He nearly cost his team the SB, his TEAMMATES bailed him out.

I hope he's gone next year.

All the apology means to me is that he admitted that he made a mistake. It doesn't mean that he's done anything to correct the conditions that led to it. If he goes out and plays hard in the SB, covers like a blanket, hits like a Mac truck, then and only then will I think of forgiveness.

And please, don't tell others how to react, that we need to chill. If I choose not to accept his apology, then that's my business. We all have different POV's on this subject, and speaking for myself, all I'm doing is expressing mine.

Woolen said 'something'. We have no idea what. Haven't seen squat about what those words were. it could have been something like 'helluva game', a la Sherm.
And when he's gone, he likely cost us some trade capital.

Just sayin'.

Yes, we do have an idea. First of all, if what you postulated above is true, then why did Woolen apologize and ask for forgiveness? Why didn't he instead plead his case and state his innocence? His apology is an admission of guilt.

Secondly, it happened right in front of the ref, well within his earshot. I can say with near certainty that he would not have thrown the flag if it was something complimentary as you are suggesting. That is, unless someone wants to engage in another conspiracy theory, that the refs have it in for Woolen and/or the Hawks.

So, while it's true that we don't know exactly what it was that Woolen said, we can make some reasonable assumptions.

Not saying he was flaming again, just saying we do not know what was said. Ok to remove my postulation.

The big problem I see is what happens in Santa Claus. Does New England taunt him and we draw a penalty that we can or may not recover from? That is my concern.
Well if they taunt him, they get a Penalty... That said, yes it was dumb, but that penalty in a f, n champiionship game seemed rather petty and really a warning would have sufficed. Of course Riq had a chance and failed to redeem himself on the following play.

So you want to give your opinion, but stop other from giving theirs? Not quite the way the forum works.
