The collaboration between JS and MM is what I thought JS and Pete had...until I realized they didn't. MM knew the horses he had at ILB couldn't do the job and JS went to work. Amazing how well JS moves over the past couple years have worked out.
I always had the same feeling about PC/JS. Their collaboration worked early on, but increasingly not so to me, as others here have elaborated on. There were moves made that just didn't seem like JS moves to me, the Jamal Adams trade topping the list. I also have my suspicions that JS may have moved on from RW sooner, taken a more realistic approach to rebuilding sooner, not resigned a bunch of middling players who hogged up our CAP space and the like.

These were all just suppositions on my part, but the last few years seem to have given some credence to them.

There was people (mostly Geno fans) absolutely itching to blame JS after week 1 this year for the Geno and DK trades when we lost and the Raiders/Steelers won. They've gone very quiet.

Some will come crawling out the woodwork if the next game or 2 don't go right.
People on here wouldn't shut up the entire offseason about the time Schneider called guards "overvalued". Was so tired of how out of proportion that got blown by Seahawks fans.

I could sort of understand that given how trash the oline had been for a decade, people went overboard on Geno though with his one play off appearance.

He should have won it the year Luck got drafted by Indy. But it's well deserved.
